(note: this is not a "hint" or any such nonsense. Im not even sure myself yet what the ingredient will be)
Uh, there are about a dozen different character sheet templates listed in the linked post.  Do we get to pick which one we like? :P

in my original posting of the link, I suggested using the "Standard Character Sheet", but that bit didn't get edited into the first post.   :eh

1st level too? Guess he wants to see my awesome 1d4+1 magic missle damage. ;)

I saw that too, and thought it was a little weird. My vote is that 1st would not really be necessary.

updating main post to remove first level snapshot and stating to use the "standard character sheet"

I second 1st level not being necessary.  Building six charsheets (1-5-10-15-20-sweetspot) for one challenge is seriously a lot of work, and really doesn't contribute anything to the challenge in question.  If it were me, I'd leave it entirely up to the chefs.  Requirements could be "one snapshot each for low level (1-6), mid level (7-14), and high level (15-20)."  If it absolutely needs to be specified, 6-12-20 should get you all the information you need, while being considerably more reasonable on the chefs, who may have social lives and/or work and/or school to keep up with.

If it stays 1-5-10-15-20, I'm definitely dropping chefdom for judgedom.  If I put that much work into a build, I'll get putridly sick of it before it's ready to post.

(edit - yay, it's changed a bit!  Still five charsheets though, which is a bit silly IMO)

already ninja-removed the first level snapshot before your post  :lol

fear my "post silently" check.

anyways, i like your idea about the low-mid-high.... can I get some second opinions on it?  or is 5-10-15-20-sweetspot fine?

I agree, leaving most of it up to the chefs is probably best, low-mid-high is probably the max most people will want to do.  I would say, do as much as you need to to get the point of your build across, particularly with regards to how it uses the secret ingredient.  Agreed?

Woot!

Another thing that would work for me, would be if there were separate awards for each category.  That way, a chef can choose which categories to enter (thus saving work, or not, at chef's desire), and there'd be more potential to recognize builds which bloom at different points.

didn't go with the "snapshot catagory" approach to judging, as it would be a bit complicated for now. might another time, but not this one.

...and yes, I did modify the post  :D

If it's still open I'll bite.

Ugh. Multiple character sheets...can we stick with just three? One per power level, as suggested?

Edit: Nevermind. You addressed it in the main post already  :rollseyes

the consensus is that you can turn in however many you feel is necessary to give the judges a good taste of your dish.

I hope it's not too late to enter the contest, as it's the 13th already. But if I can join, count me in. I've always wanted to join one of these contests.

It's the 13th here, and already yet another pointless movie has entered theaters. /opinion
It always seems like the barrels around here have something in them.
