A113: Pure DM call on creature by creature basis. By RAW, Bat's Blindsense is unaffected by Silence. By analogy, a spell of Silence looks to echolocation like Darkness does to normal vision. Maybe.
The closest things in the rules are "Deafening attacks thwart blindsight if it relies on hearing", and from the bat description "These bonuses are lost if its blindsense is negated".

Q115 Are there any feats / spells I could use that would give me the Abberation or Extraplanar attributes to my character, so I can perm polymorph myself into a Black Ethergaunt :D?

A115: You can already Polymorph into an Ethergaunt. The Aberration type isn't one of the restricted types Polymorph explicitely mentions like Ousider.

Ah, but he wants to permanently polymorph into one the way I'm reading it, presumably through PAO cheese. The only thing that comes to mind for that would be To either play an Elan (Aberration type) or use the same trick LoP used for Beholder Mage entry (multiple PAOs to count as "related" to the creature you want to PM yourself into).

Thanks for the response to 115, I can polymorph for a week at a time already, and I can extend it to two weeks so it isn't so bad to be a normal kobold once in a while :p

Q116 Another stupid one probably, does changing race via polymorph change your stats exactly to what they are of the creature in the manuals... or does it change your racial stat bonuses instead.

Say an Elf has +2 racial on dex and 18 overall... if it polymorphs into creature with 16 dex naturally, does the elf end up with 16 dex or gain an additional +4 racial bonus.

Polymorphing into a creature changes your stats to the average for the monster you're turning into. In your example, you'd end up with Dex 16.

Note that you don't normally assume the new form's mental stats anyway (except for Int in the case of PAO).

When in doubt, see if you can PAO into a Black Ethergaunt that is just about to take the last level of its savage progression, i.e., at 15 HD. ;)

Only 'average'/'normal' monsters as presented in the books, you should know this already, Agita ;)

But a 15 HD one is less powerful! He's deliberately nerfing himself to play something cool, isn't he? ;)

And I don't think there even is a savage progression for those guys :P

Well played though ;)

Q117 Anything other than Ethergaunts that have huge int to PAO into? Bonus points if it can wear equipment.

A 117

There's the Ulitharid, which gets something like 20 Int and looks like it was sculpted out of a block of pure kickass. It's also humanoid (in shape) and can thus wear most equipment humanoids can, and it gets manifesting ability as a 13th-level telepath. It's from Lords of Madness, page 158.

A 117b: I doubt you'll be able to find something better than a Black Ethergaunt though :)
