No, Thri-keen can use four arms. Where did you get the two usable arms part?

Thri-kreen (Savage Species) only have 2 usable arms, unfortunately.

Factotum have 4 arms, but have a +2 LA and 2 racial HD to make up for that fact. On the bright side, the racial HD are monstrous humanoid HD, so full Bab and 2 good saves for those HD makes them very playable in certain builds.
And while they would certainly make reasonably good dragoons, they would require a different build-guide than the two listed in this handbook. TS's build with some updates and LA buyoff would work.
It always seems like the barrels around here have something in them.

I wasn't aware of that Factotum class ability, where's it at?

So that's where all those extra actions come from.

The reason for thri-kreen is that they can start dragooning at level 1(4). They can hit that DC 4 way easy, with their +30 + ranks/strength to jump, and with a ring of jumping, that's the + 70 or so right there. Then it's just a matter of good strength and high ranks.

Note that a ring of improved jumping is 10,000gp, whereas a ring of continuous jump (CL1) is 4,000gp.

A ring of jump also stacks with the other ring.

Let's see
Quote from: Magic item prices

* If the duration of the spell is 1 minute/level, multiply the cost by 2.
+10 enhancement4,000gp
+10 competence10,000gp
+20 enhancement20,000gp
+20 competence40,000gp
+30 enhancement36,000gp
+30 competence90,000gp
There are huge savings to be had. For less than the price of a ring of jumping +30, you could have a ring of jump +30 and a ring of jumping +20. Heck, you could combine them into a +50 ring for 94,000gp!

Don't forget the friendly neighborhood artificer for profane/insight/dodge bonuses to jump.

No, the jump bonus you get helps you dodge attacks. Although your version's better.

Besides, where does it say that you -can't- have a dodge bonus to a skill check?

Dodge bonus to Open Lock?

Oh by the way guys. Arms and Equipment Guide page 109. Halberd of Vaulting. 20,310 gp for a Halberd that gives a +30 untyped bonus to Jump. It also doubles damage on a charge wherein the user jumps at least five feet up.
Edit: Oh, it's already been noted. Drat.

I incluided the Halberd of Vaulting in the shoppin' section.
Hood - My first answer to all your build questions; past, present, and future.

Speaking of which:
Don't even need TO for this.  Any decent Hood build, especially one with Celerity, one-rounds [Azathoth, the most powerful greater deity from d20 Cthulu].
Does it bug anyone else that we've reached the point where characters who can obliterate a greater deity in one round are considered "decent?"

1.4 is up.  I'm surprised no one caught my listing the Shock Trooper feat (Complete Warrior 112) twice in the Powertool build.  I fixed it and brought up Shock Trooper to level 9 but pushed back Power Lunge to 12 and Headlong Rush to 10.

I was pondering on how to make a semi-working dragoon build with a Binder and Andras (and probably Chupoclops later). I've got the idea for Battle Jump + charge + smite going, but right now that's about all I've got.

Gendou Ikari is basically Gregory House in Kaminashades. This is FACT.

Well, binders can get pounce, but it takes quite a few levels. Maybe Binder 5/KoSS 5/Warblade/Crusader/Master of 9?

You need +4 BAB to enter KoSS, so Binder 6.

Way I see it, you only really need Sudden Leap and Leaping Dragon Stance to begin hopping around - saves you the need to take Leap of the Heavens, and it can conceivably replace Travel Devotion (net effect is the same, AKA moving as a swift action rather than a move). It's a late bloomer, but it can be done, though it takes two feats to do it.

I'm trying to adapt this into my current Binder (he's a Binder 5 at present, going for KoSS at level 7, then back to Binder), and I'd like to not lose BL if at all possible.
