I am thinking of making a Factotum (or some other class) 1, and maybe a Warblade 17...

Then make them!  We still need 5 more level 1 characters before we can start a tournament.  And 7 before we can start the level 17 one...

I'll throw in my level 1 Dragonborn Warforged totemist: the link's in the sig, it's Pentifex. I might have leveled her to level two, lemme check.

EDIT: Nah, I'll actually go up to level 4 with this one. Level 1 totemists aren't as good as level 2.

Also, I'll whip up a level 4 Incarnate.

I decided to make a Beguiler instead...

He isn't finished yet, though http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheets/view.php?id=108685

My work
The tier system in a nutshell:
Tier 6: A cartographer.
Tier 5: An expert cartographer or a decent marksman.
Tier 4: An expert marksman.
Tier 3: An expert marksman, cartographer and chef who can tie strong knots and is trained in hostage negotiation or a marksman so good he can shoot down every bullet fired by a minigun while armed with a rusted single-shot pistol that veers to the left.
Tier 2: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything, or the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.
Tier 1: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything and the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.
I have wizard character i've been meaning to playtest, will there be any openings for level 12 or 17 any time soon?

17 sounds fun, but then I recall the headaches of the last game i played where we all had 9th level spells... the time stops became insane.

Add Perform (weapon drill) to the fighter and swashbuckler lists of class skills

You totally just fixed these two classes. I had no idea it would be so simple.

Is pre-contest crafting of either mundane or magic items allowed?

Make and submit a character at any of those starting levels, and as soon as we have enough characters of a level, we'll start the tourney.
The cake is a lie.

I'm working on a first level Warlock entry (http://www.dndonlinegames.com/view.php?id=76886). He's essentially complete, but I am curious how total cover using a tower shield will be ruled. Does "you can instead use it as total cover, though you must give up your attacks to do so"  mean, a) it takes a standard action b) no action is required but you can't use any actions that are considered attacks c) something else? Can someone grapple in such cover be grappled? disarmed?

Edit - I'm assuming the optional BoVD rules regarding hive minds are not being used. But simply having a measure of control over an existing summoned swarm is pretty darn useful.

There is: Kill shit and loot the corpse!
When you use a tool the way it was designed for -- its intended function -- then it will work very well for you.

But it's not the tool's fault if you use it for something else and you fail utterly, such as trying to eat cereal with a butterknife, pounding nails with a screwdriver, blogging to voice your political opinions, and brushing your teeth with a hammer.

Going to put in a bid for a L8 Dread Necromancer.  Will get the character together tonight (since my damn tabletop game got canceled >:().

EDIT: Actually, what level are most of the "waiters" at?  I'll win at any level w/ a DN, so it doesn't really matter  :lmao...  Just want to get into a game quickly...

Can I get a ruling on whether Corpsecrafter should apply to Summon Undead spells?  RAW, it shouldn't, but the tourney rules have already banned owning normally created undead...

Also, for the purposes of the tourney, say I use a Summon Undead w/ Fell Drain...  Would that mean that the summons do negative levels with each attack?

Also, I didn't see anything about familiars... Are they OK?

Currently, there are six level 1s and one level 17, with unchecked characters at levels 1, 4, 12 and 17. We need eight of the same level for a proper tournament. Lv1 is your best bet.

No, no and yes. Note that you might be able to get a single crafted undead allowed as a "mount".

Erm... So Dread Necromancers don't have starting wealth listed.  What should I use (Beguiler?)?

Anyways, barring full equipment, here's Zug-zug...

(What do people think?  Does this emulate the kick-in-the-door DN well enough?)
