Just be sure you have some way of avoiding the Lifebound spell from Secrets of Sarlona.  That can lock you into the host's body, and if it dies, you die.

SoS isn't available except on a case-by-case basis, as the DM doesn't have it.

So that's done!

Also, I decided that too much LA was bad for my thrall, so instead of an undead pixie with 1 HD, I went with a slightly refluffed ogre barbarian/crusader.

Also, I had to rebuild my primary character, as the DM ruled that bloodlines didn't work that way. Thus, this. Note that I'm using the soulbound psywar ACF and Call Weaponry in order to use CW as a psion and get a really nifty weapon when needs be.

[edit] Here in a few levels, I'll have to try to get one of these as a thrall. Maybe when I finish out thrallherd.

I dare anyone to find a hole in that logic.

I always preferred these. Especially to Mind Seed. But, that's me.

I could technically use malevolence to possess my own corpse. It doesn't require a living body, after all! I'd just have to animate it first.

Also, where's the racial advancement for ghosts? It's not in Ghostwalk, and I didn't see it in Savage Species.
Why do I even bother posting?

Anyway, if you can mix and match ghost abilities, you definitely should try to get laughter of madness as your lesser ability

It's from Dungeon Magazine (130), dudes who fail a will save against this sonic mind-affecting supernatural attack take 2d6 points of int and wis damage.  As with telekinesis, it's a standard action every d4 rounds.

It's themetic.

nice, thanks for the info!

Unfortunately, it's mind-affecting.

Oops.
