Hood - My first answer to all your build questions; past, present, and future.

Speaking of which:
Don't even need TO for this.  Any decent Hood build, especially one with Celerity, one-rounds [Azathoth, the most powerful greater deity from d20 Cthulu].
Does it bug anyone else that we've reached the point where characters who can obliterate a greater deity in one round are considered "decent?"

Penny Arcade did this comic on Superman awhile ago.

That's less optimization than the disparity between full casters and everyone else.  Or the disparity between Mary Sue power fantasy FR NPCs and the PCs.
"We managed to make an NPC puke an undead monster."
"That sounds like a victory to me."

It is commonly accepted comic book folk lore that Superman is, in fact, retarded.

Any comic villain who knows about Kryptonite and has the means to get some of it could easily be manufacturing Kryptonite bullets et. al. and down Supertool in 1 shot.

Batman is much more like a Wizard than Superman.  Batman has answers.
Superman is much more like the Fighter.  Superman throws things into the sun.

In fact, one of Superman's long term and consistent weaknesses, that ISN'T Kryptonite, is MAGIC.

Magic > Superman
Batman > Superman
Superman > Keanu's Breakfast Sausages

Sorry but I fucking hate Superman.

+1 to Batman. Superman looks sillier.

point is, batman is a superhero without super powers. he has super gear. this makes it much easier to identify with him.

superman is just boring. but originally he couldn't even fly... dunno why they made him into what he is now...

Didn't the Green Lantern at one point move the earth out of the way of a threat instead of the other way around?  I thought he operated on a similar level to superman.

The Green lantern has a few weaknesses Superman doesn't.  Namely, he has a limited amount of power and will have to recharge and he also has to breathe.  It's also entirely possible that moving the planet was actually easier than moving whatever the threat was.
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Why would you even do this? It hurts my eyes and looks like you ate your keyboard before suffering an attack of explosive diarrhea.

Captain Marvel
Superman stole flight from Captain Marvel and was able too, because DC sued the fuck out of Fawcett comics, lost 1 lawsuit, then bought a judge for the appeal.
Ironically, I was looking for this fucking comic just yesterday for the D.C. boards. Thank you Endarire

It always seems like the barrels around here have something in them.
