Power of Faerun. Cohorts and *gasp* followers CAN take Leadership, RAW. So... :fu

Are there npc examples in that book that have followers with leadership or something?
Yes, even more then that.
"I'm done thinking for today! It's caused me enough trouble!"
"Take less damage to avoid being killed."
"In the arena of logic, I fight unarmed."

Or you could just be a cleric of an ideal. Like, physics and say that the domain choices reflect potential and kinetic energy.

Plus, where other clerics say "For Pelor," "For Nerull," or "For Crom?" You get to say, "FOR SCIENCE!" *fanfare*

I know your game, you just want a magical Amazon.com to knock off those good ol' honest magic shops run by polite, old wizards!
Use Iron Heart Surge on the sun. That'll teach him to use fluff as RAW.

Damn you! You totally ruined my build that was all about getting epic far shot early and throwing my enemies into the sun!

So what is this gonna do, take Leadership at 6 and 9 and 12, etc ??

Thrallherd does better the: one at a time, until you get what you want.
And with less downside.

Thrallherd takes a Thrallherd takes a Thrallherd, is almost always better than Leadership.

Wait, if you can get as many cohorts as you want, what's the purpose of thrallhead?

Being able to mistreat them horribly without consequence?

Giving the DM a rule that specifically says you can get multiple cohort-things, instead of just implying it?

Being able to mistreat them horribly without consequence?
And this, of course.

Minor detail ... I've pointed out on other leadership threads,
that "race" is singular and "class" is singular.

This is not much of a nerf at all, but taking leadership (again!)
at say level 18 gets a cohort with 1 race and 1 class
and not much maneuvering room for the build.
Retraining and PsyRef, and even Rebuilding are possible,
only after showing up.

well, this feat is all an attempt to bring back a portion of d&d dropped out during the conversion from 2nd to 3rd anyway. used to be you would get cohorts and followers and even forts or keeps or other small castles (ie: landlord feat) as part of your class features[/b].... ah, the good old days.
