Try reading the spell?

Quote
Effect: Swirling wall whose area is up to one 10-ft. square/level, or a sphere or hemisphere with a radius of up to 1 ft./level ... One side of the wall, selected by you, emits a low groaning that causes creatures within 60 feet of that side to make a Will save or flee in panic for 1d4 rounds.

But where is that swirling wall or hemisphere!!!!??
Where you want it within it's range. ... Oh, I see what you mean.

The SpC's version was corrected things six years ago and said Spirit Wall's Range is Medium. I missed the lack of range part in CAr. I guess good eye at spotting one of that books problems, but it's not a huge deal. Take a look in our unoffical errata sub-forum just for an idea of how many errors tend to pop up within a single book.

Anyway, best place for simple questions like this is in the huge chain of Ask A Simple Question threads.
