Fighting Constructs (Mid Level)

Any mid level (5-10) tips on handling constructs? Weakness? Stopping them from grappling the wizard?

VS Grapple: There's a steal size spell IIRC or you just levitate/fly/teleport to a better position. Also reduce/enlarge gets +/- 5 to grapple.
VS Constructs: There are some spells that deal extra damage versus construct, using these should be enough for most constructs. Also grease is often very helpful (assuming the grappler is big and strong but w/o any balance skills). Grease+Rogue with Penetrating Strike works also. And don't forget the weapon crystal that deals extra damage to constructs on your fighter.

Echo the suggestion on Grease.  It's core, very powerful, can *potentially* help someone get out of a grapple, and first level so it will apply in practically every campaign ever.

Mindless constructs can be defeated by *certain* Illusion spells IIRC, Figments.  If they are mindless, their tactics are generally "Fight the thing closest to me."  You can have all sorts of fun misleading them. In a more mundane way, Hiding is generally effective as well

For someone other than the Wizard, Scarab of Golembane is in core and very inexpensive and useful.  Able to take an action to detect golems at will (no more "is that REALLY a statue?" uncertainty :) ) and ignore the DR of all golems.

Grease is, as mentioned, an absolute definite. It has a decent chance of screwing over even epic level golems without much trouble, since they have no defense against it. Silent Image is very similar.

And since the vast majority of constructs (except some warforged and some inevitables) do not have teleportation effects, things like Black Tentacles and Solid/Acid Fog are very much in line as well.

I dare anyone to find a hole in that logic.

Having some sort of flight is another basic but effective strategy since most golems have no means of flying.

The core golems have their DR negated by adamantine so for an extra 3,000 to the weapon cost you can add an adamantine weapon to your golf bag.

Finally most golems have horrible reflex saves so spells like grease, web, and entangle work wonderfully.

Or ranged weapons in many cases.

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

Against Golems it could be very effective to use the terrain since most Golems are too big to fit in several spaces you can be save in there (I never saw a Golem with a Crossbow so they won't be able to reach you).

Read, every day, something no one else is reading. Think, every day, something no one else is thinking. Do, every day, something no one else would be silly enough to do. It is bad for the mind to be always part of unanimity.

Dimension door et al allow you to get away.  (No somatic component.)

Reshape the terrain.  Wall of stone, wall of force, stone shape, etc. let you trap 'em.
Hood - My first answer to all your build questions; past, present, and future.

Speaking of which:
Don't even need TO for this.  Any decent Hood build, especially one with Celerity, one-rounds [Azathoth, the most powerful greater deity from d20 Cthulu].
Does it bug anyone else that we've reached the point where characters who can obliterate a greater deity in one round are considered "decent?"

Freezing Fog.  Best of both worlds.
