How do I get the most opportunities to use Sneak Attack?

If you're evil, dip (or take) Assassin levels. They have Invis, Swift Invis and Greater Invis as spells. Stock the appropriate wands, take the Darkstalker feat and just about every non-devil/caster should qualify for sneak attack (if they're immune...you're invis. Run. Away.)

You can also begin surprise rounds with a Death Attack...just because you can.

Marbles are your friend. Throw some down and force your opponent to make a Balance check to stay upright. Whether or not they succeed, they're considered flat-footed unless they have five or more ranks in the skill.

Surprisingly few people put ranks into Balance.

IIRC it just allows you to sneak for one round.
Grease with a high caster level may allow you to sneak for a whole combat, you just need to keep the enemies on the grease (surround or something).
Tell your party wizard to cast grease once or buy a scroll/wand for this.

IIRC there is a skill trick allowing you to sneak attack, too.

Btw the penetrating strike ACF is very great against immunities. It closes the hole in the rogue's tactic.

A dip into Swordsage helps with this ACF if you nab the Island of Blades stance (Shadow Hand). It allows you and your adjacent allies to flank anyone you both threaten.

Take the Wild Cohort feat and retrain its feats into Martial Study and Martial Stance to grab Island of Blades. That way, you count as flanking any time you both threaten a foe, which will basically be all the time.

Also, a ring of the darkhidden for 2000 gp from the MIC, and a wand of that cantrip that causes absolute darkness? I think it's called No Light. Just make sure you have darkvision. It's better than a ring of invisibility for this purpose, since it's much cheaper and doesn't crap out after you attack. Not so good at actual invisibility, though.

Actually, it's basically a constant Greater Invisibility effect in darkness.  Standard vision is useless in darkness, low-light vision is useless in darkness, and darkvision is effectively negated by the ring.  The only ways to circumvent it are the things that already circumvent Invisibility and Greater Invisibility.

I know, but ring of the darkhidden is 2kgp, and pixies have an LA of +4.  That's a harsh LA, even for a non-caster.

With a high enough starting level, Pixie Rogues are indeed quite nice. Low to mid level play though sees them dieing when they Nat 1 a reflex save on a trap. They do have very decent defenses, but missing four levels worth of hit points really hurts when anything gets past said defenses.

Ideally. Unfortunately the curse of having trapfinding as a class feature is that you're expected to use it.

There are actually quite a few options available to you, here's a few off the top of my head:

Grappling, or attacking into a grapple.

Attacking into a grapple, yes. Grappling, no.

The people you grapple still retain their dexterity modifier to AC.
