Level 1 immune to damage?
« on: May 31, 2011, 07:28:56 AM »
There is a feat named Troll-blooded granting a level 1 human REGENERATION 1 (Dragon Magazine #319).
If you just take a level 1 human with this feat, then get undead (there are many ways for level 1-2, for example in Libris Mortis).

Let's look into MM1 about Regeneration:
Quote
Damage dealt to the creature is treated as nonlethal damage.

Now let's look what our undead does (MM1):

Since I don't have the Dragon Magazine #319, could you please check this?

A creature must have a Constitution score to have the regeneration ability.
Also see Regeneration under Special Abilities.

You wouldn't be immune to damage even if that did work.  Troll-Blooded provides regeneration that is beaten by acid and fire damage, which could still kill you quite handily.

Isn't there a feat in RoE or MoE that a warforge can take to make them immune to non-lethal damage?

Initiate of Ilmater does the trick. Has a minimum Cleric level, but Cleric levels give you Shield Other so not only are you immune to non-fire/acid damage but your friends take only half.

Not level 1 sadly, but it's the only "invincability" combo I've personally witnessed.

Edit: It was actually one of the spells from the feat, later renamed "Favor of the Martyr".

It always seems like the barrels around here have something in them.

Persisted Delay death can also make you ignore the effects of damage, as long as you heal back up at the end of the day or cast another one.

Favor of Ilmater is also a Paladin spell, which means prestige paladin gets it.
Monks are pretty much the best designed class ever.

Generally requires some sort of Persistent Vigor effect or a bucket of water.

D&D and Minecraft, the two games where you see everyone carrying buckets of water...

a bucket of water.

Which only works because the rules state that when you start drowning, you are sent to 0HP, somewhat like being sent to jail in monopoly, regardless of how much HP you have. (Or don't have, in the case of delay death.)

Witty sayings? Nah, not right now. Currently playing Dwarf Fortress and League of Legends. I really recommend League of Legends.
