ToB Homebrew Classes?
« on: May 19, 2011, 06:11:36 AM »
I'm working on a character for this campaign, and I've decided I'm going to be some sort of Sublime Way gunslinger.

However, none of the classes in ToB actually do what I want.  I found the Warrior-Poet and the Gunslinger classes on GitP, but haven't found anything else that catches my eye.

The Gunslinger caught my eye for obvious reasons, and I like the Warrior-Poet because I see my character as charismatic and the class abilities make me happy (not very helpful I know, and I'd have to get Littha to give me firearm proficiency for free).  I'm also going to be delving into homebrew disciplines if it matters any.

I just need some advice on what other homebrew ToB classes might work well with ranged combat.

Should this not go in the homebrew forum?

Well, it's optimisation advice not creation.

This could be helpful if you're using partial gestalt, and this if you want a gish.

My work
The tier system in a nutshell:
Tier 6: A cartographer.
Tier 5: An expert cartographer or a decent marksman.
Tier 4: An expert marksman.
Tier 3: An expert marksman, cartographer and chef who can tie strong knots and is trained in hostage negotiation or a marksman so good he can shoot down every bullet fired by a minigun while armed with a rusted single-shot pistol that veers to the left.
Tier 2: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything, or the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.
Tier 1: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything and the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.
I'm asking for advice on picking a class.  No, this shouldn't go in the homebrew forum.

@Prime: No gestalt, no gish.  Just using ranged ToB disciplines and want more than the official classes can give me.

Here's a homebrew discipline for gunslingers that seems pretty cool.

I'm actually planning on using that discipline.   :D

I also like Solar Wind and Coin's Edge (because I need something to help me in melee just in case).
