Or the PHBII sorcerer ACF, or using Arcane Spellsurge, or Easy Metamagic feat, or...  ;)

Using spells that naturally have a Swift/Immediate action casting time...
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Q241: Can you cast a spell from a wand as an immediate action, if the spell on the wand is an immediate action?

Don't see why you couldn't. The spell trigger is the same as the spell's time to cast.

A 241

Yes. The core rules have Wands be a standard action or longer to activate because the concept of swift and immediate actions was not yet introduced in the PHB, but Rules Compendium clarifies that Wands of spells with shorter casting times use the shorter casting time.

I do remember something somewhere in the rules saying that PCs can resolve spell effects in the order most beneficial to them.
so love some sauce on that if at all possible.

Q242 A Wizard with Scribe Scroll makes Arcane scrolls.  A Cleric with Scribe Scroll makes Divine Scrolls.  Artificers with Scribe scroll make special "Artificer scrolls."  If a Warlock uses his Imbue Item ability to craft a scroll, what type of scroll is it?

A242: Arcane, the same as his Invocations. I believe the source is the errata.

I think it was from the FAQ. Sorry, I don't have time to go dig for it. Maybe someone else will remember more accurately than I do...

Q 243 How do you add templates to your animal companions other than just saying "I add this to my companion."? Not including the celestial and fiendish templates, of course. That feat's in BoED. I was thinking more like making an ape a dire ape, or an ooze a sentry ooze (there's a feat that lets anyone with Wild Empathy have an ooze starting at 7th druid level).

I guess you could make that into an item, but it'd be hella expensive to do it.

There are ways around that... UMD a scroll, for example.

On a side note, "dire" isn't a template.

Techinically, it'll work on any living creature EXCEPT somebody else's animal companion/familiar.  So long as you have an animal companion/familiar of your own.

Q 244 is there a way to cause negative levels without being a caster or a creature that does it with its slam attacks?
