Q 4: I'm looking for another way to gain skill "ranks" like given in The Codex Anathema (lords of maddness magic item). Any ideas besides the primary contact feat?

Anyone??

Have I found the only two ways to do this?

Was there a feat or something named "wise beyond your years" that would let you exceed the normal +3 ranks per level? I've searched for it and only found one vague mention of it but not the source of it or much detail.

Q.15. How will Enduring Breath, Entangling Exhalation, Clinging and Lingering Breath work when mixed together?

Q16: Does the Unarmed Swordsage variant not gain Improved Unarmed Strike at level 1? It seems really stupid to be able to hit as hard as a monk, but you can only do nonlethal and it provokes an AoO. Is it just a DM's call?

A 4: Also when a yakfolk does his not quite a magic jar he gains the skill ranks of the bod he is wearing. Illithid eaters may be able to pull something similar. And then there is wish.

A 16: Unarmed Swordsages gain the unarmed strike ability of a Monk. The unarmed strike ability include Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat, in addition to the improved damage and ability to use any body part.

Can anyone shed some light on the "wise beyond your years" or "skilled beyond your years" thing? It apparently raises the cap on ranks per level but like I said I can't find the source of it, only the mention of it after searching the boards here.

Thanks for that. I was hoping to find an item or feat but it looks like I'll have to consider a different race if I want to pull off what I'm considering.

Bump

Q What spells or cheap magic items are there that enable you to move over rough terrain at full movement?

Q Is there a way for a wizard to learn Modify Memory, or cast a variant of it, himself?

Q Is there a 3.X version of the 2e Chameleon Men?

Q 17 What template gives creatures filth fever? Preferably not an undead template. I need it for a living creature.
I reject your reality, and substitute my own.

Looking for something much more low level, and not a lycanthrope. The creature flies.

Two such feats come to mind. One is homebrew, designed for E6, and called Skill Beyond Your Years. The other was... either Kingdoms of Kalamar or some Ravenloft book, I think, and did the same as Skill Beyond Your Years, but only for Int-based skills. I know of no such feats or items from WotC books.

Q18
When a spell specifies that it must be used in conjunction with a "harmful" spell (example: Glyph of Warding [Spell Glyph]), it is allowed to be used with the Inflict spells. Can it be used with Cure spells? They are harmful to undead, since they channel positive energy. If you can, if the ward is activated by anything other than undead, does it take effect (and thus heal the target), or do nothing since it isn't "harmful" to that target?

Q19: Is there any ECL1 playable race with the dragon type sans feats besides savage progressions? I know an LA+0 Dragon-typed 1 HD creature sounds too good to be true, but if anyone knows it would be someone here?

Q 20: Does the Master Thrower's Palm Throw skill trick (CW 58) make the two attacks at the same target or can they be different targets?

also...

Q21. Where/How can i prove to my DM that a single class can have multiple alternate class features? ._.

He got stuck with any one of these variant classes in place of the standard class of the same name" and won't allow Spontaneous Divination and Focused Specialist, lame, pretty lame.

A21 just tell him that many of them only replace specific features, whereas the racial class ones are different by replacing actual levels.

Like the animal companion instead of a familiar for sorcerer/wizards, you could then replace the animal companion with an elemental. But you cannot take Half-Orc Druid levels, since you are not a druid
