Okay, so I'm working on a character for a PbP God campaign, level 40 gestalt, 40 points in an altered point buy system (start at 10 1-to-1 basis all the way), you get one template for free (Ignore LA, but Racial hit dice count, I think), 20 Divine Ranks (I tried to talk him out of this one), Max Hit Points, retroactive skill points for Int increases, Keen abilities stack once per weapon (so, Keen+Keen, for example, but not Keen+Keen+Keen).

Books allowed are:

So, onto the build. I'm still in the conceptual stage, but I'm thinking the first 20 can be 20 Cleric/1Factotum+19 Psion and then the second twenty can be Wizard20/10 Chameleon+?

For the last ten, I'm thinking Master of Masks 1, and 1 more Psion level, just to finish it out (maybe not), and maybe then Legacy Champion to continue Chameleon's spellcasting progression. What are your thoughts, CharOp?

Strictly speaking, you can take more than one extra standard action per round with Cunning Surge since it doesn't say you can't. The only limit is your Inspiration Points.

Hm... interesting. Where's black ethergaunt from?

Also, I forgot to mention my reasoning for that build, as it relates to the god I'm thinking about. He's a god of Knowledge, Artifice(creation), and Trickery. Hence, the lots of spellcasting, of almost every type. That's especially why I went with chameleon, for the ability to cast any spell of ever. And I mean that literally, as I believe with chameleon arcane and divine focus, and several of the salient abilities, I'd be able to spontaneously cast any arcane or divine spell. Further, master of masks was a deliberately un-optimized choice to reflect his interest in knowledge. After all, with the gladiator mask, and the right spells, he could literally pick up any weapon and use it better than anyone else around. Does that seem to make sense? Or ought I try to go a different route with it, still keeping the same domain/portfolio ideas?

Deity of Knowledge, Artificer & Trickery?  Sounds like Archivist || Artificer for sure.  Add Rogue or Bard as needed.

Unless there's a salient divine ability that allows you to automatically overcome SR, I'd seriously consider trying to get full casting on at least one side.

I'd also suggest finding an Outsider that has racial spellcasting at a caster level of its HD (like a Rakshasa or Trumpet Archon) and stack gish PrCs on that.  And remember that you get 20 levels of class-based BAB growth after the BAB from your racial HD.  (Black Ethergaunt is a good alternative, although Aberration HD aren't quite as good as Outsider HD.)

Sylph would make a decent choice.

Too bad Sharn doesn't work too well for this.

It's just that the epic progression for Mystic Theurge sucks, which is sad. Who wouldn't want Sharns to be even better?

An Epic Illithid Savant / Demilich would be a pretty powerful way to go.

Best,

Some Cool Quotes:  [spoiler]
Quote from: unknown
Non-PC activities like out of combat healing should be left to wands and NPCs. It's not fun to play a walking wand of CLW. Likewise, being a combat wall is not a viable PC role. A Wall of Force could do that.

-Sort of, but you left out the important note that a Wall of Force does it better.

Quote from: Runestar / skydragonknight
The most powerful character is the one that you actually get to play.

Quote from: Operation Shoestring
I often have to remind people not to underrate divination.  The ability to effectively metagame without actually metagaming beats the ability to set things on fire more times than not.

Divine rank 20?

So you will never actually roll dice the entire game?

If so, get a vorpal sword.

Get a bunch of Vorpal Shurikens.
Monks are pretty much the best designed class ever.

You still roll to determine whether you threaten a critical or vorpal hit.  You just treat the result as a 20 when determining what AC you hit.
