d20 Resources On the Inter-Web
« on: May 07, 2008, 02:29:35 AM »
Post any cool d20 links here

I'll start.  Poking around I discovered Sweet20, an alternate Xp system for d20.

Everyone knows about it but just because a list of resources isn't complete without it:

I love the hell out of that site. Never lets me down.

Gametable is not specfically a D&D/d20 resource, but I have found it extremely useful for online games. Especially since you can replace the character markers with CRPG-style sprites if you are so inclined XD And I so am.

How is Gametable?  I've always preferred IRC to PbP for online games, but I've never been satisfied with any maps - they've always been either slow or buggy.  It'd be great to see a shared map fast enough to use for combat without bogging down the game.

i prefer the System Reference Document v3.5 over d20srd. I've seen a number of places where d20 is missing infor but SRD isn't. Just my two cents :eh

It ran fine on my computer/connection, and the computer was not great at the time (though the connection was about as good as it gets in my country, DSL2). We didn't test it with any huge battles, though, so I can't speak for how well it handles epic combats.

I do have a number of texture tilesets if you're interested (grass, cobblestones, clouds, and a fetching steel-plated look for modern games).

Mmmm... It doesn't have Profession (Basketweaving) as an eligible skill. Don't like.

The open gaming foundation, for old 3.0 material, and BESM d20.

I hate mouth breathing fuckwits who go around spouting lies, even after being corrected on those lies, and that bait mods into helping to defend their wrongness and fail. I also hate the MBFs that don't understand the meaning of words, and that can't get a fucking clue.
Hey! I like spouting lies. It's very entertaining to observe how people on the internet are buffing their small egos by declaring victories over some stupid MBFs. :smirk
Also - I hate people who use too smart words that I don't understand. :mad

I'm not sure how much of a d20 online resource it is, but...

Something I thought about since reading a post on gleemax:  Over there, the CoC prevents you from posting non-OGL material, even if it would normally be covered by fair use.

So, on these boards, is it okay to link to things like wealth by level?

Totally true.  Historians believe that most past civilizations would have endured for centuries longer if they had successfully determined Batman's alignment.

Why are so many posts on the board the equivalent of " Dear Dr. Crotch, I keep punching myself in the crotch, and my groin hurts... what should I do? How can I make my groin stop hurting?"

While on the topic of resources, does anyone know a site/document/whatever that lists all the possible templates and their sources? I'm not asking for the full stats, just the names with the sourcebooks they are found in will do. Crystalkeep used to be a good one for that, but it seems to have gone down and now I'm kind of stuck.

I use this from WotC... Contemplating asking if it can be ported over since I always seem to be needing it when Gleemax is going maintenance. Master Template List

Thanks, I had forgotten that his list alos mentions all the 'non-PC' templates, which is what I was looking for. (I'm busy creating some 'proper' monsters for my PC's.) Hopefully, Tigurius will let you put it over here while it still exists.
