it is if you apply the Half-Golem to the animal part of the Lycanthropy ;)

Q253:
Other than the Savage Species flesh golem progression is there any way to play a magic immune creature without resorting to homebrew?
A 253: Some stuff out of the Epic Level Handbook like Demi Lich is magic immune.... though that's something like LA + 8 or similar.

The animal becomes a [Construct], which means they are rather ill suited to also be a lycanthrope.

But if it succeeds on the will save, it does not gain the construct traits either, does it?  And I assumed those were what zook was mainly after.

Q238: An artificer crafts a wondrous item. That wondrous "item duplicates a spell effect, however it uses the artificer's actual level as its caster level." does that - for the purpose of the spell - supercede the item's spell's caster level?

If so that's seems to be the only way to do so for a wondrous item without custom item guidelines...

Yup

actually I was rather after the magic immunity but I'm not all that sure you can use a templated animal as the base for lycanthropy... besides that it is heavy cheese (more so than playing a flesh golem)

yes its EXTREMELY cheesy, but you can do it.

since an animal that makes the save stays an animal, is eligible for the Lycanthropy template. and since the Lycanthropy template specifically does not use the "level adjustment" of the animal part, the fact that a template applied to the animal with a "LA n/a" (or +0 or more, for that sakes) doesn't matter.

there are several templates like this, that allow free templates (only specific ones though) if applied to the non-mental part of the template.

here are all the ones i know of.... Lycanthropy, Tauric, Symbiotic, Entomanothropy, and Anthropomorophic*.

*this works, but does not give you a way to figure out an unlisted animal's LA.

Q254 Can a cleric 7/Shadowcraft Mage 5 with the Gnome domain (for Illusion spells), Heighten Spell, Earth Spell, Divine Metamagic Heighten, and sufficient Turn Undead attempts Heighten a Minor Image to 9th level to cast a 9th level Conjuration or Evocation spell?

A254 Doesn't it have to be a 10th level to get 9th level conjuration or evocation spells?

Yes, and that's covered by Earth Spell.  I'm trying to figure out if there's anything that keeps DMM from breaking the level of spells one can cast.

Q 255 A psionic shaper 17 gains access to Genesis, and can make their own plane of existence. What similar spell does a wizard have?

Surprisingly, it's.... GENESIS!

That's why I couldn't find it. It's under the epic spells list instead of just Sorcerer/Wizard 9. Yet the psionic version of Genesis is under the regular powers list.
