I'm in need of help with a build. The DM has set up an epic campaign. He wants us to start out at level 23 gestalt characters. This is the same DM that once told us to bring in characters to break his game and proceeded to smack us with his bitch stick, he's good. He knows I like enchanters and has thrown me a bone, or an anchor. I'm to be the main caster for the party. His hand out to me so far,
Human
Str 20
Dex 20
Con 18
Int 28
Wis 24
Cha 28
First half of the character is sort of an improved WotC blend of his own making.
Specialist Wizard 3/ Master Specialist 10/ Mindbender 10
Enchanter variant specialist wizard, I have the social proficiency at the cost of no wizard bonus feats(big deal, I don't get them anyway in this build).
Master specialist has a quirk. Extra feat in place of expanded spellbook at 2nd, 5th and 8th level.
Mindbender has full spell progression.
To keep the math simple we can use the Int score as is to figure out skill points. I'm going to max out the diplomacy on this guy, so any help there is welcome.
All WotC books are legal. I know he hates Psions so I don't want to go there. I was wondering about feat selection and then the other half of the gestalt, what to build?
I was thinking maybe marshal 1(charismatic aura)/ cloistered cleric with domination and mysticism(add charisma bonus to saves) domains. Then what??? As the main caster should I use cleric to expand selection or maybe sorcerer?
This DM is cool. As long as you have back story to explain it, and aren't trying to break it off in him, he is easy to get along with. He loves to take what you bring to the table and use it in the campaigns he has run in the past. On this end I was thinking a thought bottle, the genesis spell and steal life spell. Just need a "reasonable" way to get around the xp problem.
