Half Minotaur Zenythri Inflicted Were-Advanced Fleshraker with Righteous Might persisted. Ur Priest, Prestige Paladin, Adapted Ruby Knight Vindicator based on Tiger Claw. He's a Priest of Malar.
This guy, only evil, and with some druid tendencies.

That is, assuming you need adaptation to a human(oidish) party?

Seriously, guys, tell us what you need adapted to for us to be much help.

How about a refluff of a gestalt druid//dread necromancer?

He just needs to not piss off nature with his skeletons and zombies
and keep his druid class features

Grow flowers in them.  :p

I had a raven druid who was highly friendly towards the concept of undeath... but that's not so much a refluffing as it is a carefully constructed worldview where undeath was part of the cycle of life and death itself.

Negative energy and death in general are not unnatural at all, just as positive energy and life in general aren't.

His ethos is 'waste not, want not,' and just as the natural world uses everything with little-to-no-waste, using the empty vessels of once-living things is certainly not a bad thing. Evil maybe, but not bad, so long as it remains in relative balance (ie, no wightocalypses; in fact, I'd say self-spawning undead would be a no-no here).

He has to protect the balance of negative and positive energy.  Too many clerics are pumping positive energy into the system with their curing and their turning and destroying the natural undead.
He's just trying to protect the world from devastation.

Alternately, you're a monk on the cusp of enlightenment. No, seriously. You float along as you meditate, and if someone pisses you off you fire Buddha eye-lasers at them.

I thank you for awesome ecounter idea. Everybody knows the beholder's powers nowadays, but say that they're facing a monk and then watch them go WTF when it starts floating, shooting buddha lazors and punching people at distance. :smirk

Lad, if you can make an anthropomorphic baleen whale ghost binder/anima mage not stick out in any D&D humanoid campaign, I'll buy you a beer  :D
Okay, you are the totem spirit-protector of one of the members of the party. You ask the other spirits for aid in this, and spend your time watching over him (or her). Perhaps you were an ancestor, risen to semi-divinity from ancestor-worship, and have taken on the guise of the animal spirits your tribe worships.

I may be owing many people a beer/latte/ beverage of choice  :D

Any ideas for (DM permissible) re-working the Duskblade's spell list for a desert/wasteland oriented feel? Re-fluffing current spells on the list (even going so far as altering damage types) or picking alternate ones entirely should both be acceptable. Like Ray of Frost becoming Ray of Salt, Dimension Door being the same effect, but the appearance being changed into a burst of sand and re-appearing elsewhere. Dessication/negative energy/debilitating spells would all tie in well. Think life-drained Anauroch-esque.

Any Neutral
knowledge(nature) 4, Surivival 4
Touchstone (City of the Dead)
-1 BAB, -1 Fort, +1 Will
Delayed spell progression pre-17th
1) Bear's Endurance, Bull's Strength, Cat's Grace, Endure Elements, Parching Touch, Speak with Animals, Summon Desert Ally 1
2) Eagle's Splendor, Fox's Cunning, Heat Metal, Owl's Wisdom, Resist Energy, Summon Desert Ally II, Summon Swarm
3) Control Sand, Desiccate, Dispel Magic, Dominate Animal, Haboob, Slipsand, Summon Desert Ally III, Sunstroke, Tormenting Thirst, Wind Wall
4) Blast of Sand, Summon Desert Ally IV, Wall of Sand, Wither
5) Choking Sands, Flaywind Burst, Flesh to Salt, Summon Desert Ally V, Transmute Sand to Stone, Transmute Stone to Sand

Pros outweigh the cons (not forgetting that the Duskblade would already be allowed to change out/alter spells to suit)? Terrain alteration spells dealing specifically with desert terrain are going to be undervalued weighted against a locale appropriate campaign. The character concept in question will be wide ranging and those spells are being at a disadvantage.

Interesting to note is that such a Duskblade would actually have knowledge of 9th level spells (Sandshaper gives one or two), but have no 9th level slots to cast them from.  Not sure if this will ever come into play, but there it is.
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

An Ambient Tempest using Spellshaping might actually let you cast a high level spell in this situation, since it reduces the level of the slot required. Pair with Versatile Spellcaster, of course. All that useful? Probably not.

Versatile spellcaster would work.

Human duskblade5/sandshaper1/duskblade8/abjurantchampion5/sandshaper1

Feats:
1-power attack, touch stone
3-knowledge devotion
6-obtain familiar
9-arcane strike
12-improved familiar: salt mephit
15-summone elemental (summon desert ally qualifies you)
18-versatile spellcaster

The homebrew/houserule forum would probably be ideal if you want help crafting alternate spell-lists.
