Q 36 How far does feat retraining stetch? Can a Wizard retrain Scribe Scroll? Can an Elf retrain his longbow proficiency? Etc.

I'm asking here because I have a feeling this topic has come up before and been answered but a cursory search of the forums has come to naught.
If you read the PHBII section, it mentions that you can only retrain things you chose at levelup.

That said, the abyssal shuffle can certainly turn those into better feats.

Q 37 How is leveling up handled, normally? I've been in a number of different groups, and they've all handled it differently. One you didn't level up until after you'd rested up. Another one, you got everything except for health. A third one you didn't get anything until you'd taken some time aside and "trained" to actually earn that level.
I reject your reality, and substitute my own.

Q 38 Anyone know where I can get pre-made adventures involving gnomes? Namely one apparently called "Gnome Uprising"?

Found the last one in Fury in the Wastelands.

Are you sure Gnome Uprising is a real adventure?  I can only find mention of it in Knights of the Dinner Table, and there it's credited to a fictional character and is for a fictional game.

That's what it said on the DM's printed adventure we just finished last night.

Here's a bit of a review of a guy who played it.

Quote
Our characters took a job to put down a gnome uprising or something, and we had to go find their secret underground lair and infiltrate it. The assassin, had a side job to kill the leader of the rebellion and bring back proof.

I almost died really early in the adventure when I fell into a pit trap, then got attacked by watch weasels. Fortunately someone was a cleric and could heal me. We cleaned out the lair over the course of two or three game days, then travelled back to our home village. The assassin cut off the leader's head and carried it back in a sack. We gave him a hard time about that.

EDIT: Found it. It's adventure 3 in Fury of the Wastelands p 140.

It definitely can with Scribe Scroll.  Longbow Proficiency is argubale.

Bump (still need this)

Q 26 If you didn't want to use taint in your campaign, is there an alternative/substitute?

Q 39 Would it break the campaign world to allow Font of Inspiration into an E6 or E8 game?

Not any more than allowing Natural Spell, or Divine Metamagic. Less so for the latter in fact.

I agree that it'd be less so for the latter one because some DMs don't allow DMM to work unless you could normally cast that spell in a higher spell slot. I guess it'd depend on how high the INT bonus was. Like if it's +6, and you took the feat six times, it might be questionable.

Half-golem what? What's the base race that half-golem is applied to? What's it trying to do, or already do?

Not so much. FoI is still limited to your Int mod.
You can't get it really high, so I'd allow it.
Sure, you can break the action economy at 8th level, but rule that you can only take 1 additional standard and suddenly it's just a very dependable class, instead of a nova-machine.

If there's anything I'd be a bit wary about then it would be someone with Psionic Body and as many Psionic Talent as they can fit in.
Hint: That's a lot with the E6/8 system.

I'd still allow it, but that's just me.

Personally, I limit the number of feats you can benefit from with that by your CON modifier, similar to FoI.

Orc or maybe a giant, I need meat tanks(who can dish respectable damage) that are CR 6-ish

Q41: Anyone know the name of the bard spell that replaces Concentration checks for Perform and the book its in? Bonus cookies if anyone remembers the name of the wicked build that used it with Staredown so you'd do a Dance-off to intimidate before you went at it  :)

That would be the Lord of the Dance. Don't remember what the spell was, though. :P
