I understand that they are from Eberron, but different houses have different rules. Just verifying the parameters and is why the question was asked if the dm would allow warforged...

Ok, the good news is we have a bard so there is some healing

No, the warforged aren't a part of this setting. My character is a human. He was brought up among elves and developed some ego issues due to being looked down upon (not with malice, he was more regarded like a pet, with his short human lifespan. Still, it hurt) So he decided to study magic to show them all that he can do better in a human lifetime than they can.

Well, you could pick up poison healer and have your snake familiar nibble on you (or drink strong booze, which is considered poison by the Arms and Equipment Guide)

I was thinking more along the lines of "pwn the enemy so much they won't get to hurt you".

coming back to my player's snakes - how best to use them? a sorcerer's animal companion is as strong as that of a druid with half the level. That means its better than her in a fight but still rather fragile (ane even complete fodder will resist its poison half of the time). How to protect it from being one-shotted and get it to close to the enemies it can actually hurt?

Ok, I see the responses dried up so I'l rephrase it.

I want this mage to end as a loremaster with an archemage dip. I intend to enter both as soon as possible. To meet the requirements, I will need to put my feats by level more or less like this:

1 metamagic,spell focus (enchantment)
3 metamagic
5 skill focus (any one knowledge)
6 craft wonderous item
9 spell focus (necromancy)
12 skill focus (spellcraft)
+ 3 more feats (one extra from loremaster secrets)

So, what would you put in the beginning metamagic and the three final ones?

I'd recommend invisible spell (cityscape) since there are a million and one uses for it.

And what to get at the beginning? cause it requires "any other metamagic feat".

Is it better to go for more spectacular effect (extend, widen) or for being able to cast under any conditions (silent, still?)

Make the elven sorceress a witch (DMG 175) to give her access to cure spells. She could be your healbot. (Better than snakebot I guess)

Consider Sculpt spell and extend spell, depending on your spell selection. Sculpt spell allows you to use glitterdust and fog spells to much greater effect.

Also consider Metamagic School focus so you can apply those for free 3 times per day.
Monks are pretty much the best designed class ever.

Then how about this ?

1 extend spell
2 rapid maximize spell

high levels: invisible spell, quickened spell, persistent spell.
