Gestalt it with something, or it'll suck, and badly.

Try totemist. Or a TOB class. Or perhaps factotum. SOMETHING tier 3, anyway.

I assume you mean 'aren't'. If that's the case, gestalt with something that makes it tougher, rather than stronger. I guess monk could work in this case, if it has a high Wisdom.

Make it a wildshaping monk for utility, and you might have it.

Q 199: When reading through threads I found on the search feature, I found mention, but no elaboration, on trickery to get 9th level discipline powers/arcane spells on a spell-to-power erudite pre-epic. How exactly would this be done?

Re-asking this one.

According to the SRD he still gets rock throwing for being a giant, apparently.

Seems more thematic for a guy with vow of poverty to throw rocks.

Yes he does get the ability,it is just that in the description it states  that they use weapon and spell-like abilities.....
But you are correct, since he is VoP it would make sense to use rocks.....

Have him throw chunks of unworked adamantine.

Maybe he neither knows nor cares that he's carrying around enough money to purchase half the planet.

Q205:  What are all the penalties and drawbacks for being flat-footed?  Other than losing Dex to AC, not being allowed to make attacks of opportunity, and being vulnerable to sneak attack/sudden strike?
A 205

Some abilities (Hit-And-Run Tactics and Iaijutsu Focus are the primary ones that come to mind) work only on foes that are specifically flat-footed, rather than just denied their Dex bonus to AC.

Q208: If a multiclass duskblade has spells from another source, may he use his quick cast class feature on them?

The PHBII text says: Beginning at 5th level, you can cast one spell each day as a swift action, so long as the casting time of the spell is 1 standard action or less.

It seems like there isn't any reason you couldn't, unless I'm missing something. But that also seems kinda wrong.

/facepalm

So... being denied your Dex bonus does not automatically make you flat-footed?  Or there are times (other than uncanny dodge) that a flat-footed opponent would not be denied his Dex to AC?

I always assumed for all intents and purposes the two were mutually inclusive.

You also lose your dexterity bonus to AC if you can't see your attacker (including when you're blinded or he's invisible or hiding) and when you're cowering, grappling, or stunned.

Okay so it's more like "being flat-footed is a condition which will cause you to be denied your Dexterity bonus to AC" rather than the other way around? (semantics, I know, but still)

I can't find rules text on Dexterity denied letting you make attacks of opportunity. Theoretically, that would be the only OTHER difference.

Patently ridiculous, I know. It also makes Uncanny Dodge ridiculous, because the number of things that can make you flat-footed outside of losing initiative are few enough that you can count on your hands.

Yes.

Uncanny dodge also covers being struck by an invisible attacker.
