Only by going out of one's league can one win the World Series.

Solo game idea?

Nobody in the region worries about monsters, villains, disasters or anything like that.  The local high-level character (think blatant Superman rip-off) intercepts and thwarts them before they can do any lasting harm, every time.  The people have become soft, weak and dependent due to never fighting their own battles.

Now the local superhero is out of action (ill, cursed, traveling abroad, killed by a drifter or old rival also happened to be very high level, whatever).  People have no one to turn to for their problems, and are forced to rely on their totally inadequate own devices.  Things are starting to get ugly now that there are no heroes around.

Will somebody step forward to take on the job of guardian for these people(possibly with the help of a legacy or otherwise dormant powerful item left behind from the previous hero)?  Will a leader arise to rally the people, and teach them to fend for themselves again?  Might an up and coming young criminal seek to capitalize on this dark time?

Oh come on, I'm sure you could cook up something entertaining to do with rival gangs of monks and truenamers battling it out for control of the partially charged wand trade.

What do you want from the guy?  He's already given this thread an epic one-liner.

Her characters over-protective, abusive father has arranged for her to marry some ass hole who is 20 years older and already has 3 wives and has leprosy, it's debatable whether he's part goblin. she has to sneak out of the house and head to (somewhere), to (make her OWN decisions / find someone / whatever)

you could include an IRL inside joke between the two of you as part of the plot or a familiar location where the two of you have spent time together... this will make her think about you during the game

whisper during the sneaking part, women think this is more personal for some reason

items/spells she encounters in game just happen to be innuendos .... python rod, grease, mount, a night stick, rod of greater enlarge, hold person, dominate person, silk rope, ... you get the idea

have sex dice in your dice bag where she'll find them.... when she does, casually explain that this is how combat is resolved  :eh

if she doesn't know what she wants to play just keep it simple like:
Gestalt
Divine Minion, Druid, Planar Shepherd /// Erudite (spell to power), dip thrallherd
then have the main thrall be  artificer///binder

have back-up plans that have nothing to do with D&D
My (sometimes offensive) Web Comic Faux Blast
Can you find the Wumpus? (Hint: start with the spoiler....)

ya, but it's more of a gaze attack because it originates from the eye, functions as the grease spell but it's a line of effect and it works with power shot and multi-shot

after he uses his gaze attack, the monster collapses and is helpless for a while (fort/will save negates)

sometimes genesis is cast as a side effect, but the DM determines when it happens and the details

I figured entangling exhalation with rapid breath would be more in order. Strafing breath is also an option...

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

Single, simple character for her: Fontotum. Above level one, choose spells for them (Prestidigitation, Grease (Color Spray might be too good), Glitterdust). I was going to recommend presenting the PHB core classes, but it's best if you build what they want FOR them: Most who start D&D and see the size of the PHB or the character sheet would be overwhelmed.

why not try and make a single, simple character for her, story and all
Pro: jump right in. Con: lack of immersion.

She's a real world dancer and a (mostly fiction) professional writer, so maybe something like a Bard / Gemini Dancer in terms of fluff?
Do you think she'll cringe like I did or do her writings frequently contain protagonists like comic-book superheroes that she'll entertain the idea of extraordinary, martial dance-power? If so, try to include that thing where you dance as your Intimidate check in a Duel of Wills for humor.

I need ideas for a good, simple, one-shot, solo story, though.
"The number of ships docking at the coastal town of Seawell has suddenly dropped, and raids by the local lizardfolk are increasing. The missing ships were all approaching from the reef side of the peninsula, so something must have happened to the lighthouse that normally guides ships safely past the danger. But what?" Rapid Metabolism (Expanded Psionics Handbook, SRD) or Healing Devotion (Complete Champion) are good healing feats for a skint, one-person party.

Dearest one,

It is my pleasure to seek your opinion and also to confide in you for a business partnership. Though we have not met before, but I believe one has to risk confiding in someone to succeed sometimes in life. I am Prince Elerossë Ciryatan; I'm from Ancalimë in northern part of the elvish continent. I contacted you for this noble transaction to seek your help and advice since I am too young to handle it alone.

The sum of Six Million Five Hundred Thousand gold pieces ($6.5m) was deposited in a bank by my father in the economic capital which he wanted to used for his political ambition, before he was assassinated. Due to the situation I found myself, I have decided to invest this money in your country, because of the frequent political instability and also for security reasons and the worst part of it, is that my uncles are trying to kill me over this money because I refused to hand over the documents covering this money to them. They has sold all my father's landed properties which rightful belong to me and has been on my nerves to give them details on the deposited money, which I refused. My life is now at stake so I ran away from my City to our capital, hiding in a hostel pending when this money will be released.

I seek your assistance in the following ways:

(1.) To provide a bank account where this money can be transferred into.
(2.) To make arrangements for me to come to your country after the successful transfer of this money into your account, and further my education.
(3.) To help invest this money in a profitable business since I am not old enough to handle such matters
(4). I want you to promise me that you are not going to betray me after the money gets into your account since that is what I have left.

I will be pleased to offer you reasonable percentage of the total fund while the balance will be invested with your help.

NOTE: I have all the necessary documents backing me up as the next of kin, If you are willing to assist me , please do not hesitate to contact me for further details and also hope you will handle this transaction with almost confidentiality and transparency it deserves.

Yours Sincerely
Prince Elerossë.

My first thought was a Shadowdancer-build. Much like how Jack Chick talked about taking magic to the next level, this would allow her to take dancing to the next level. Welcome to DDR, sorry, I meant D&D.

Along the same lines, I was thinking a Bard 4/Warblade 16 Song of the White Raven with Snowflake Wardance.  But of course, she may not want to play a Dancer, being a Dancer in reality.

As far as a plot goes, I guess it would depend on her tastes.  It could be as simple as some (mis)adventures which occur while traveling down a long and lonesome road.
