Isn't Jack of All Trades worded incorrectly?

"You can use any skill as if you had 1/2 rank in that skill. This benefit allows you to attempt checks with skills that normally don't allow untrained skill checks (such as Decipher Script and Knowledge). If a skill doesn't allow skill checks (such as Speak Language), this feat has no effect."

I'm pretty sure you need a full rank in a skill in order to attempt checks as trained.

"I am the Black Mage! I cast the spells that makes the peoples fall down!"

The Legend RPG, which I worked on and encourage you to read.

Halfling, Paladin of Freedom 2/Ape Totem Barbarian 3/Pyrokineticist 8/Horizon Walker 7

ACF: Whirling Frenzy
Terrain Masteries: Desert, Underground, Mountains, Plains, Hills, Shifting, Cavernous

1- Point Blank Shot
3- Wild Talent
5- Power Attack (Ape Totem bonus feat)
6- Precise Shot
9- Improved Initiative
12- Endurance
15- Improved Precise Shot
18- Iron Will

In 28-point buy, I'd go for something like (after racial adjusts):
Str 10/Dex 18/Con 12/Int 10/Wis 10/Cha 14

At level 6, when she first gets the Fire Lash, without any items or buffs, her 15' Fire Lash attack is +6 to hit with a ranged touch, 1d8+11, or she can rage for 2 attacks per round (+4/+4).  It gets better as she gets more BAB to sink into Power Attack and grant her iteratives.  So, not game breaking, but decent.

OR, we could look at an evil version.....

Human, Psychic Warrior 2/Wolf Totem Barbarian 2/Fighter 1/Pyrokineticist 10/Blackguard 5

ACF: Whirling Frenzy variant
Feats: PBS, Precise Shot, Psionic Shot, Precise Shot, Power Attack, Improved Initiative, Psionic Meditation, Improved Trip, Improved Sunder, Cleave, Divine Might, Improved Precise Shot, Ability Focus (Heat Death)

For a level by level breakdown...

1.  Psychic Warrior1- Point Blank Shot, Psionic Shot, Precise Shot
2- Fighter1- Power Attack
3- Barbarian1- Improved Initiative
4- Psychic Warrior2- Psionic Meditation
5- Barbarian2- Improved Trip (Wolf Totem bonus feat)
6- Pyrokineticist1- Improved Sunder
7- Pyro2-
8- Pyro3-
9- Pyro4- Cleave
10- Blackguard1-
11- Blackguard2-
12- Blackguard3- Divine Might
13- Pyro5-
14- Pyro6-
15- Pyro7- Improved Precise Shot
16- Pyro8-
17- Pyro9-
18- Pyro10- Ability Focus (Heat Death)
19- Blackguard4-
20- Blackguard5-

For 28-point buy, I guess I'd go Str 13/Dex 16/Con 13/Int 8/Wis 10/Cha 14.

Niice.

Psionic builds have already been done over at the old psi board, and here.

I don't think an effort was ever made, to take advantage of Recharge Magic.
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/magic/rechargeMagic.htm
It's so obviously overpowered, that doing a real hash out wasn't gonna happen.
Clearly the real advantage is out-of-combat.
