Hi. I'm a gamer from the UK who will run or play pretty much anything and likes writing new systems in his spare time, and definitely not when I'm supposed to be working.

I'm a fountain of memes who is signing up entirely because he loves that homebrew monster classes thing going on and wants in on that. XP

Gamed since 1997 vidya game wise but only the last 1 and a half tabletopwise. (Ask me about MDK and Red Alert!)

Long time lurker on many D&D forums who is looking to become more active if I can find more time in my schedule.

I have a small group that I play with mostly 3.5 and M&M 2nd Ed. I have a tendency to optimize as a rule and have learned much from many of the posters here.

I wanted to start a tabletop group, but was unable to get the word out.  My parents were out of town, so I decided to throw a party.  I invited all of my friends and had soda and pie!  I hoped that no bad people would show up, but unfortunately disappointment was once again to rear its ugly head.  After several hours of standing around and awkwardly arguing Cleric vs. Druid, I thought of a way to make my point.  I would whip out my dice bag and show everybody I was right!  Just then, three guys I know I didn't invite totally kicked down the door and crashed my party.  They spit beer on my friends, lit my copy of Dragon Magazine #313 on fire and started hitting on the one girl that I was about to impress.  They didn't want to see my dice bag at all.  Then they spiked the punch with Spanish Fly, and a bunch of other people started coming in.  One of them stole my mom's favorite sculpture, and two girls who just arrived took one of my friends into the bathroom and made out with him.  The three guys found our pies in the kitchen and started throwing them, and one of them hit me in the face!  They turned the music up so loud that my stereo blew a fuse, and then they took a baseball bat to my mom's television.  The three guys crawled out of the party, but the food fight kept going until all the pies were gone.  I got in so much trouble when my parents got home!  Ever since then, I've been trying to find a good outlet for my interests and have been unsuccessful.  I am hopeful that I can meet some new people and learn some new things about the games I love by posting here.  I just hope no bad people respond to my threads...

Hello everyone, I'm a fairly average 23 year old who had a thing for Tabletop games, but haven't had the chance to play them. Okay, maybe not so average? I came across this place because of the D&D 3.5 tiers and this place seems cool, so I signed up.

Hello everyone i am from Greece, im 27 years old and started recently playing pnp D&D 3.5 version.

I allways played the D&D pc games (RPG fanatic) and i really liked them a lot, so i found a few people and started the real thing.

I have read many interesting posts in these forums, (you all seem so knowledgable compared to me), and so i decided to join.

Hey there, my name is Chris though online I go by Kogan.
I'm 21 years old and am still learning all I can about DnD and other PnP RPGs.

Hopefully I can learn here and perhaps make some friends.

Still running 3.5, looking at Pathfinder stuff. Have been playing since I was 12. Skipped second edition. Wonder why 4E is... well, like a computer game except we play around a table.

I enjoy character optimization although since lately it seems like I'm the only one who runs consistently that generally means optimizing NPCs - which can still be fun.

I greatly enjoy spellcasters and battlefield control and am wondering when I can get someone else to run... and trying to decide what I should play in that event. My last specialist wizard - Conjuration (and three cheers for Treantmonk) was loads of fun and has made the guy who run it now despite the Grease spell.  :lol

Now I'm starting a new campaign after finishing up my last one that ran on and off for... something on the order of 6 or 7 years and trying to get things all nice and fleshed out! (Also I was trying to search because one of my players asked if I'd let the Swashbuckler Dodge Bonus count as a virtual feat for Dodge and I'm wondering if it's been discussed before, but I couldn't search without registering, and if I'm going to take the time to register instead of just find posts here with google... well, might as well introduce myself.  ;))

Hallo. I go by the name Laniius; I'm a young man of 24 who has been playing rpg's for about... 4 years now? I started late. Anyway, I mainly play 3.5, though am branching out to Pathfinder; I've also attempted to get a Shadowrun 4.0 game off the ground (only 1 session so far) and have managed to play in 1 session of Heroes 6th edition before work got in the way. Nice to meet everyone!

M 29 here, looking to get back into tabletops after a long break brought on by 4e. If I wanted to pay a monthly fee to spam the same attack over and over I'd go back to WoW.

Mostly here to refamiliarize myself with 3.5, and maybe find a PbP/PbEM to rewet my feet with.

Hi -- was active for a while on the pre-Gleemax Wizards boards, still poke in occasionally at the GitP boards when I'm checking the OotS webcomic.

I learned D&D as a kid from the Basic/Expert box sets, first got into a real campaign in high school playing 2e AD&D.  Dabbled across various RPG systems in college, but still had some AD&D there, then went pretty much exclusively 3e D&D.  Played in several campaigns, then ran a long campaign that climbed all the way from 1st level in 3e to 17th level in 3.5e, including original material (from dumping PCs into the Plane of Shadow at 2nd level to a full-fledged extraplanar invasion by an advanced Roman-style legionary army including PC-leveled soldiers and officers) and heavily adapted material (from the freebie 3e The Burning Plague to manually updating the Ravenloft Grand Conjunction series).

Been away from playing for a few years now, though I'm thinking of diving back in sometime soon, though I'm still only barely conversant in 4e -- been developing some ideas for running another campaign, which would most certainly be 3.5e.

I tend to post from my experience, the bulk of which is from the 3rd-9th levels or so.  20-level builds are interesting mental exercises to me but out of my experience -- my long-running campaign was the only significant experience I've had with any characters above 12th level.

Don't get me started on the tier system, no-SR "nonmagical magic" Conjurations, "roleplaying vs rollplaying", not that these aren't topics that anyone here hasn't probably already seen beaten to death and beyond.

Not much to say bout mahself. Huge nerd, multiple mental instabilities(of the happy kind :P) and a love for nearly all things gaming. Not racing games though. Hate those. Hate driving IRL too. Also, I CAN BAEK MUFFINZ. :D

Hi, I'm Jalathas, accidental powergamer. I have a tendency to frustrate my friends with builds that, while not optimal, are certainly more powerful than something built uninformed. It's not MY fault I look up handbooks and they don't, is it?  :D
