Agita: That seems like it would work pretty nicely indeed. Looks like everyone will have an extra fate point to play around with if TML goes with Arsene's compel.

That's the wonderful bit. I was originally expecting each scene to play out separately, weaving things together later by supplying good reason to contact the others, but first the dogs turned from an innocuous scene aspect into an actual problem, then the means of Arsene's escape.

Also, I probably didn't need to compel Venn in that case, but he's a focused practitioner. He could use the fate point.

Actually, as far as the compel goes, I'm wondering if it oughtn't be the "Out of the Pot" aspect that's compelled, since it describes that Leo attracts trouble like a magnet. Or rather, I wonder if I ought to have a separate aspect literally called "Trouble Magnet" for this sort of thing. I know if goes part and parcel with being one of the protagonists, and a Wizard especially, but I think this is just a little bit more than that.

Then again, I'm still trying to figure the game system out at this point. Also still needed: equipment (focus/enchanted items), and rote spells. Gotta read up on those. Good thing I've got the day off. :)

The declaration is actually pretty plausible, since IIRC the funeral procession went around the Ring, and I'm pretty sure it had a stop at Heroes' Square, where there are lots of parks close by.

By the way, we really need a name for this Wizard. I'm not getting a lot out of calling him "the elder Wizard" and "the old Wizard" etc.  :P

Not only is he old, he'd be at least a couple centuries old. So it needs to be something appropriately old-fashioned as well. Also, I believe he was being combined with another plot-sensitive figure, so he's not a throw-away character.
