Okayyy... so I was trying to figure out, at level five, what animals a Druid can Wild Shape into, that have the best poison that can be... milked... for, uh, sale or use by the party.
Looking here:

I have this list of animals that a druid can wild shape into by level 5 that have poison:
Fleshraker, of course
Medium Viper (Use the sea version from stormwrack! The poison is better!)
Swindlespitter, of course
Stingray
And as near as I can tell... there is nothing better until level 7, when Large creatures are available, right? At which point you use the large sea viper? And then at level 12, Ironthorn, and then 15, Giant Banded Lizard... and I'm not sure at what level Legendary Snake is available... A Planar Shepherd could get a Rampager, I guess? Were any tiny animals with craaaazy powerful poison IRL statted out, that would be a good choice at level 11?
Can anyone help me figure this out for what a Druid could actually use to be, uh, milked? :embarrassed :blush

Worst. Title. Ever.
I thought there were rules for extracting poisons in either Complete Adventurer, or maybe its in the 3.0 book Masters of the Wild. There's Craft:Poisonmaking rules in CAdv. Anyways, I don't think that the exact rules you are looking for will work perfectly.

I know, it's an epic title, isn't it??

I'm mostly looking for what forms would be appropriate!

i see lots of grey area. bring snacks when your hashing out w/ the DM.
also, consider if its at all an option, if you had a familiar, what could they be alter selfed into to be milked. i would expect magical beasts to have better poisons.

Even if the druid "milks" himself, I'm pretty sure he still needs to make the craft checks, and I'm pretty sure he still needs to put in the initial investment, anyway. This would just give him a feasible source of raw materials for various poisons used by some monsters instead of having to rely on [Whatever] Creation and Fabricate.
Vermin Shape is a must-have in this case, in order to get access to Spider (Str), Centipede (Dex), and Scorpion (Con) venoms of all strengths.

wildshape cow
now you get actual milk too

Don't wanna!
... would rather be a goat... also that assumes the druid is female!

Well,Polymorph lets you change gender, and the original rules for Wild Shape (maybe the current ones too) say "as Polymorph except..."

you can milk anything with breasts.

Large wild shape is lvl 8.
The rules for milking are in DotU (RAW only for vermin and requires also Vermin Trainer feat):
Bestow Venom (DC 15): By succeeding on a DC 15 Handle Animal check to handle a vermin that has a poison special attack, you can compel the vermin to give up some of its venom. The creature deposits its poison into a container you indicate, providing a single dose. A Handle Animal check to extract venom takes 1 minute. You can then attempt a DC 15 Craft (poisonmaking) check to refine this venom into a poison you can use.
As mentioned in the poison guide, check Elder Viper Tree from Expedition to the Demonweb Pits.
Some vermin forms are here:
http://coboard.wikia.com/wiki/Druid#Vermin_Wild_Shape
Don't forget this (from the poison guide):
Ways to possibly increase the DC of poisons from animals/vermin:
Bear's Endurance, Bite of the Werebear, or other con boosts
Inspire Greatness for more HD
Also, don't forget, that for poison DC scales with HD. When you wildshape, you're using your own HD for poison DC. I.e., creature's HD is unimportant (provided you can change into it). You're basically looking for creatures with interesting poison and high constitution.
Some forms from 2 random books I opened:
MM2
4 dire toad, Con 15, 1d6 Con
15 dire snake, Con 16, 1d6 Con
16 legendary snake, Con 24, 1d8 Con
Sandstorm
15 giant banded lizard, Con 23, 2d4 Str
9*/12 ironthorn, Con 25, paralysis
*with enhance wild shape spell (plant form)
Note that in wild shape, you don't gain feats (e.g. ability focus poison). Animal companions OTOH can take this feat.

How silly for me to think that Craft was the applicable skill here, when it should have obviously been Handle Animal.

So... a fifth level Druid, under the effects of Bear's Endurance, gets in a tub of seawater, changes into a Stingray, and puts his tail outside of the water, and gets his or most trusted friend in the adventuring party to, uhm, milk that spine thing for the venom.
What's the DC of the venom, then? Does it change after bear's endurance wears off? Does the druid get that +2 racial bonus to the save DC? Anyone have any idea how many doses can be had from this process? Oh! *checks* It looks like, in real life, there is a freshwater stingray too?
What about the same thing but for a Medium Sea Viper?
