Title: Ideas for a gestalt gish

Hi guys!! I`m new in the CO boards, but I really need help with this one. My DM is going to run a gestalt campaign, and I want to play a Gish. I have never played a gish, and i donīt really know how to make a decent build. I was thinking about wizard/warblade, but i`m open to suggestions.

My DM ban gestalt characters for multiclassing or prestige classing, but all books are open, no flaws

The king of single class gestalt is Wizard 20/Factotum 20.
His queen is Wizard 20/Warblade 20.

If you want to mix it up, go something fun like Archivist/Duskblade.

1. what books are you useing / allowed ?

2, warblade / wizzard is a very good choice due to the way the int modifer works at higher levels for the warblade class. but i would got in stats int, con, str

Spend all your normal feats on font of inspiration.  Spend all your wizard bonus feats on fun things.

If you plan to melee, the INT focus and knowledge skills as class skills just SCREAMS Knowledge Devotion to me.  pick it up at level 3.

Anything wrong with Black Ethergaunt//Swashbuckler 3/Factotum 11/Warblade 6 ?

That does beg the question whether the LA is on one side or both, but even if it's BE//S3/F11/W2, it's not bad. Even BE//F16 "isn't bad". Nor is BE//W16, which even has 16 BAB.

Black Ethergaunt//Commoner isn't bad. You can't really go wrong once you have racial spellcasting and an Int bonus that high.

Black Ethergaunt aside -- where's that located again?

Archivist//Duskblade is a good combo as well. You get Full BAB, good saves for the ones you care about, ability to channel touch spells, decent hit die (d8), 9th level divine spells drawn from all lists and 6th level arcane spells -- not to mention dark knowledge, Knowledge Devotion, et cetera.

How do you get 6th level arcane spells? Duskblade caps at 5th.

My bad. I forgot it was only 5th, not 6th -- always getting my bards and duskblades spell progressions mixed up.
