Carlos shrugs and shakes his head. "I don't know anybody like that. That could be anyone trying to make a quick buck off of you. You should definitively accept my brother and I as your guides! I mean if you had said names like Pedro Del Gato or even that gringo 'Bones' I would feel confident enough that you WOULD be in good hands."

He takes another drag from his hand-wrapped cigarette. "I live on the north east side of town. Near the docks. But I am mostly found anywhere from here all the way down to the brothel/hotel." He nods his heads, as if he's decided something. "Look, I was going to take care of some things, but I can see you guys are in a bind. How about I help you get around town quicker while you run your errands... or whatever." He looks at the burlap parcel in Richard's hands. "Anyway, where are you headed to next? I'll get you there faster!"
[[ Please include a Sense Motive check with your next post please, Nanshork & Tarot. This is mostly because of the slimy feeling Tarot keeps getting in her gut. (Dare I say women's intuition?  :p). Plus, he really is read as "shady"-- but then again... so do some of the people I call friends!  ;) ]]
"Thats a very kind offer Carlos, but as my amico here said we wouldn't want to hold up your own business, that would be rude of us" Russo gives the man a lazy companionable smile and nod and turns a little to Richard making a small motion hinting that they should get off.

Carlos looks sincerely disappointed. "Well, I'll let you fellas get about your business then. Don't forget, you can find my brother and I at Ciudad de Perros later on today. We'd be glad to help you out if you run into any problems."

He waves goodbye and wanders out towards the south, towards the Market. He gives you guys one more look with a smile, then turns a corner and is gone.

[[ Yeah, again nothing great on those S.Motive checks. At least if you were hoping to catch him up to something. He came across as pretty sincere.

So... Off to the Curio Shop?]]
Passing once again through the heart of the Bazaar you are once again bombarded with people all buying and selling stuff.

One man, spots Richard's buffalo rifle and calls for his attention.

"Senior! I see that you carry such a magnificent fire-arm. You are clearly a hunter, so I ask you. Have you seen better traps than THESE for sale?" He says motioning to the standard assortment at his booth.
I don't know ALL the details about your mission, but from what I've gathered. You are trying to find the same place the Nazis tried to hire me to find for them.

"And from Sarah... Well, mostly I'm just getting some mumbo-jumbo voodoo stuff that hopefully will come in handy should we need it.

Richard touches the fingers of his left hand to his temple and sighs softly, shaking his head.  He then motions for Russo to hand over the envelope, hoping he remembers the "code phrase".  Richard can't understand what the hell is wrong with these bloody people and their lack of straight talk.

slipping the envelope into his hand Russo all but tossed it at the desk under the nose of the man at the desk
"This is for you fatty, 'Bones' sent us" he said sounding somewhat exasperated at the whole ordeal.

"now you got something for us or are we just gonna walk outta here?"

RUSSO & RICHARD
The man looks highly offended. "EXCUSE

He takes the envelope, and using what looks like a stone knife, he carefully slices it open to reveal the contents.

he says reading it.

he leaves his perch at the counter, and goes into the door behind him.

When he comes back, he has a small wooden chest. It is locked with a simple padlock. He sets it on the counter top in front of the two men standing before him.

Richard nods at Russo.  "I have some things I need that I know won't be provided.  Stay or go, the choice is yours."

He then turns back to Reginald, letting his English accent slip out more.  "Now old chap, what items do you have for the more discriminating individual?"

"heh everybody seems to have us pegged don't they" Russo tips an imaginary hat to the well build individual "I'll be sure to trade your insult with our new friend, I'm sure he'll find it to his liking" he sighs a little, and idly begins browsing the items for sale, muttering to himself "I wonder if my cousin would like anything, providing we survive that is... Hey Richard, we planning to be off tomorrow or we moving ourselves off today?"
As the two of you discuss things, Reggie rummages below the counter for a couple of moments.

he says. He brings up a small wooden box. From within it he withdraws a small bundle wrapped in leather.

A more discriminating individual as you no doubt sir are, would take special interest in this.

He unwraps the bundle, folding the leathery flaps back and exposing a set of four stone Mayan daggers. Approximately 8 inches long each, the hilt is bone carved to resemble a Mayan deity of some sort. Each is inlaid with jade and turquoise. The blade is obsidian; black and unbelievably sharp.
