Harrison "Harry" Dresden

Harry's family immigrated first to England from Germany, when he was a young child, then shortly after to the Americas. Having been there just for the time Harrison was growing up, he is counted as the last generation of his family from Germany. In an attempt to better the new family he would have in the new world, Harry took the time to educate himself, and in the process engaged himself as an agent of local law enforcement, and worked in the libraries of the city in his off time. He always had a ravenous appetite for reading that had been instigated by his grandparents. More specifically, and less spoken of by his parents, was his fascination with the "old ways" and the superstitions of his heritage, found in old texts of folklore and mythology. He became engrossed in studies of anything he could get his hands on. He read the papers from England regarding anything anywhere in the world things might be happening, which made him popular in his libraries as a lead researcher despite his age. When the war started, he served the town by assisting civilians, and tried to keep up to date on any information he could about troop placements and stories the soldiers told of strange happenings on and off the battlefield. Often, he seemed to be the only one not surprised by these stories in the leasty. Now, he works at his books and with towns duties as usual, but it seems like he's involved with something new, something both current and ancient...

Still needs gear and money but otherwise I think he is done.
Clerics and Druids are like the 4 and 2 in 42. Together they are the answer to the ultimate question in D&D.
Retire the character before the DM smacks you with the Table as the book will feel totally inadequate now.-Hazren

Robert Jenkins
Robert, though born in the Americas, speaks with a decidedly English accent. His fascination with the simplest of things led to a number of small accidents as a boy, including a small expedition in a makeshift boat. His apprenticeship to a gunsmith kept him busy enough to satisfy his curiosity and penchant for tinkering, but little to satisfy his family's desire for him to become a student at a prestigious school. Frequently, Robert may be found with some sort of book in his hands as he studies "trivial things" such as history and religion, but even more often one may find him performing some sort of bizarre experiment with borrowed gunpowder. With the war going on, this free time has been very scarce, as the demand for guns has risen sharply. However, he still stays up late into the night poring over a few short volumes, telling anyone who asks that they are texts on history or religion. The more he reads, however, the more he begins to think that they might be both of those things--or neither.

Was using my old phone when I accidentally posted that. It's a horrible apparatus. I don't know how to remove posts, just how to edit them.
