People usually think that I've lost my mind. I haven't lost it, I know exactly where it is: the gutter.

My body is a temple. That is why I make chocolate sacrifices in it every day.

My face was the result of Rob taking too long to figure out the camera.  So, I started trying to slide my smile lower and lower on my face until he took the darn thing :p.

Here's my latest desktop at work, with my daughter at anywhere from three to four months.  My wife in in the bottm right, I'm in the bottom left, and my sister-in-law is in the top left.

I was going to put it in the Computer Wallpaper thread, but it seemed like it belonged here more.

The thought has crossed my mind.

Luckily for me, my wife has a pretty level head, so I'm hoping I can rely on her judgement so my daughter doesn't have to suffer through a typical dad's paranoia (I remember what I was like when I was 16). ;)

You're a guy. Dad paranoia is completely different from guys to gals.

Typically, guys who date too much get moms on their backs...

No, I'm talking about the typical paranoya about the future boyfriend.

At least, that's why I assume all dad's get worried when their daughters date: they were kids once too, and they remember what they were after...  :smirk

Eh.  This is still well over a decade down the road.  I'm going to enjoy her being young while she's still young. ;)

Robby: The way to do it is you tell her that you'll be a terror to her boyfriends so she picks good ones, then you don't have to follow through on your threats. It's the best of both worlds. You get to be paranoid, and she doesn't get embarrassed in front of here boyfriend. (I realize this is years down the road. Hell, it's even farther for me, but I've got it planned out.  No reason not to have a plan, right?)

As Wizards can attest, a plan for every possible contigency makes you unbeatable.

In my case, I kinda lucked out. I don't have a daughter, but I DO have a younger sister. Her current boyfriend happens to be one of my friends - who came to me, first and foremost, before he decided he'd ask her out. Since I actually DO know the guy, I never had to be paranoid about who my sis is dating.  :P

I got some awesome shots of Josh, Zeke and I and they are so good I've decided to break the no pict rule and post 'em soon as I get around to getting them off my camera and hosted.  Actually, since this is sort of a big deal, I'm going to make a new thread for it.
