Cool. You should probably take BoVD and BoED off the surely allowed list, though. :P  Not that I expected re-flavored Saint to fly, but I would have taken Curse of the Putrid Husk without asking first if this hadn't come up.

So is that a no on the Overchannel trick?

Also, how do you handle combining magic items? Can we multiply the cost of the cheaper item by 1.5 to share a body slot? Or as per the MIC rules? Or not at all?

Yes, I probably should, I must have messed up my lists once.  :lmao

Anyway. Overchannel cannot give you higher level powers, since it only raises it when you manifest powers. I know this is not the RAW ruling, but it is mine...

Here's my character so far. She's hideous!  :D Have you come to a decision on items?

Per the MiC rules.

And yes, it is a no to the overchannel trick :)

Speaking of tricks, I noticed that jolt's character Teflar has Persistent Spell applied to Polymorph, presumably applied via Incantatrix abilities. Does that work on touch range spells? If so, there are a number of spells I'd like to have my character memorize for personal and Amechra's use with Cooperative Metamagic in mind.  :plotting

Mixster said 4-5 players and he has 4 without you so I don't see a reason why not Dictum. Although Skydragonknight didn't post much of a concept yet!

I think with all the buffs we're gonna get going on, we're gonna need more than a Ring of Enduring Arcana to keep us safe from dispels!

I do not allow persistent spell on touch range, but I hadn't catched it with Jolt's character.

Sorry, but I only allow persistent spell on fixed range, and personal spells, like it says in the spell description, and somebody got me convinced that touch range is not fixed.

Off course Dictum, Join right in. We will probably be starting something like a week after everyone tells me they are done with their character.

The campaign, when it's ready to go will be named "A saga of the north", which is to be taken with a few kilos of salt, because most of the action will also happen on other planes, and in weird deserts, so don't prepare for freezing your behind of quite yet.

So 5 players it is.

I'm interested to see where you got the convincing from. Most people who stand against persisting Touch spells use the argument that a Touch spell doesn't have a fixed range because they don't have a fixed target (that's where I often see the idea coming from), which a Personal spell does have. A Touch spell however has a fixed range, as it's always 0 feet. Unless you count in Reach, but with a creature without Reach, it does have a fixed range. I do understand many people stand against it because of the Polymorph persisting, but I don't mind your rule. DM is Boss after all.

Wouldn't the creature with reach be able to use it at 10' or 5' away?  Not fixed :D

Anyways, I'm curious how this game goes...  I can't commit to a campaign, but this might be enough to playtest some stuff.

Maybe it helps to read my whole post before posting. A creature that doesn't have reach, who casts the spell, has it at a fixed range of 0 ft. But I don't want to turn this into this debate again so it's the last thing I'll say about it. As I said before, I really don't care what the DM rules. If he said that Touch spells were fine to persist but Polymorph isn't, that's also fine with me.

I actually can't remember.

I just thought it was an allright ruling, since there is a load of touch range spells that benefit a lot from being persisted. Persistent spell is good enough IMO for not working on touch spells.

It is also an attempt to stop Persisting lesser vigor, which is quite insane IMO.

Feel free to edit your character accordingly though.  :)

So would Ocular Spell or Reach Spell satisfy the fixed range requirement. Or do we not even want to go there?

A very dexterous and charismatic Catgirl.

She's very inspirational.

(I'm feeling far too mature for this, but... Is Perform (Sexual Act) a valid skill in this game? I wouldn't use it anyway, I just had to ask. :D)
Fighter: "I can kill a guy in one turn."
Cleric: "I can kill a guy in half a turn."
Wizard: "I can kill a guy before my turn."
Bard: "I can get three idiots to kill guys for me."

On a strange note, would anyone be put out if we had a post about people or events we can spare a thought for, or if its within their creed, a prayer for? Just a random thought, but ... hells I wouldn't have known about either Archangels daughter or Saeomons niece if I didn't happen to be on these threads.
Sounds fine to me.
probably over on "Off-topic".
might want to put a little disclaimer in the first post.

This is the Min/Max board. We should be able to figure out a way to optimize the POWER OF PRAYER(TM) that doesn't involve "Pazuzu, Pazuzu, Pazuzu".
My final project for my film independent study course. It could do with a watching and critiquing
