To be more specific, I'm looking at going Tough Hero 3/ Evolutionary 10/ Helix Warrior 7.  (If we go until 20th level, I like being prepared, though I doubt I'll make a feat progression that far.)

Evolutionary is from D20 Apocalypse.
Helix Warrior is from D20 Future, and since the flavor is all about mutation I think that it fits well.

Emissary, thoughts?

Looks good. For the record, all spots are considered open until a character is posted.

Do we need a character history to go along with normal appearance and movie persona?  Also, for the movie persona, do you want appearance and personality?

Claiming a spot with Geyeir Garrison. I'll have the backgrounds up later; hopefully tomorrow or Monday.

Need to make it public.

In other news, I'm contemplating scrapping my mutant idea and having my guy become Marv from Sin City, since it is movie based and all.

You can't actually become a specific character, it would be awkward if you met the original.

Fair enough, mutant it is.  Let me get my mutations and equipment done and I'll be ready.

Emissary, do you want us to use normal wealth calculating (2d4 + occupation + profession bonuses) on top of the +18 that you're giving us?  Or does the +18 override that?

Alright.  Let me get my money together and I'll have a character up within the hour, minus fluff.

Fluff/Background added to Geyeir; tell me if you'd like more. Reposted here.
=~= "Real" Geyeir =~=

Fresh out of high-school, Geyeir has been riding the fringe of the recent uprising of American self-proclaimed "Otaku." He found an idyllical quality in Japanese culture, especially the feudal Samurai figure. However, his preference for idealism leads him to overlook details in both in his movie persona and in life in general. Despite this, he always tries to help those in need without resorting to his natural brawn.

=~= "Movie" Geyeir =~=

Enter Geyeir of the West, Samurai loner. Formed of Geyeir's admiration for the tough yet honorable feudal Japanese warrior, his movie persona is a (close) recreation of that ancient archetype. Due to Geyeir's penchant for overlooking details, however, his armor is a modernized anachronism since he could never figure out how real samurais managed to move in all that showy armor. He sports a scar over his right eye because Geyeir figures he would have picked one up in his various (necessary) fights, and it just looks badass. Always the first to help and last to fight, Geyeir's withdrawn nature lends him a gruff appearance that tends to win him few friends. His heart usually winds up in the right place to counteract this effect, however.
Here's my fluff, same style as Alter's.  Let me know too if you want more.
"Real" John
John grew up on the streets.  He graduated from high school, but barely.  It wasn't that he was stupid, he just stood up for what he believed in, no matter who it was against.  This meant that he got into a lot of fights, and a lot of trouble.  He read, some, and watched movies a lot more.  His favorite characters were always the tough guys, the loners, though he always had a special fascination for super-heroes.

"Movie" John
John 'The Jaguar' Harmon is a boxer.  He started in illegal street fighting, and it's obvious that his roots came from that.  He fights dirty, and never backs down from a challenge.  He was never the hardest hitter, but no one could take a hit like John.  His hidden secret though was that he was a mutant.  However, his secret is not so hidden as he thinks, as his tough leathery skin is suspicious to some, and people have always felt an aversion to him.

So far, all I have is the idea of starting as a Dedicated Hero with an Adventurer's background. (While Religious kind of fits, Archiac Weapon proficiency is rather needed.)

Will try and get an actual sheet up soon.

Um, question. Do we get a bonus feat for being human? I'm painfully unfamiliar with the system and feeling I have to look up everything at least twice just to remember what I looked up.

the human bonus feat and skill point is factored into the system, so humans get 2 feats at level 1

Alrighty, thanks. Need to write up fluff, but mostly done with the sheet.

I have a feeling that the Wealth bonus allows for a lot of stuff. Is this intentional?

As in, "Hey awesome I have a +3 (mastercraft) sword"

Or am I reading something wrong?
