Wall of Iron produces real iron as an instant spell (so it can't be dispelled and is non-magical) and by the price guidelines on PHB 96 & 114 and the Avaibility guidelines on DMG 137, you can hire a wizard to cast a spell that produces roughly 1800 gp worth of iron for only 500 gp in any small town or larger settlement. And yet iron mining supposedly exists in the game world.
The way I've always thought it is: yes, you COULD... well, if you can find one that isn't using his 11th-lvl wizardry to advise the world's greatest king or emperor, or isn't trying to take over the world, or isn't concerned (with his Int of 30+) about the repercussions or upsetting the world's balance by magic'ing in all this material -- with those smarts, he probably calculates the planet's volume of a given ore as morning mental calisthenics! -- or is using all his spell slots to protect himself from other powerful casters' divinations, teleportations, and minions
And hope he's willing to work for YOUR sorry, peasant asses. That is, if your sorry, peasant asses can reach him. Wouldn't that be about on-par with one of us trying to get an audience with a reclusive hollywood celebrity?
AND if he is by some miracle, the price for his servitude (just because the DMG says that's the cost, doesn't mean every wizard will agree with that "minimum wage") isn't so high that it's cheaper to just hire miners anyway.

Chapter ??: The case of the Satanized Hobo.
I was walking to the home of a friend of mine, who was throwing a reception party (he was graduating). On the way I get stopped by a hobo. Dude stank so badly that "high heaven" doesn't do it justice. Mostly booze and pot. "Hey dude, give me some change so I can buy food." "I ain't got any to give you." "Wasn't asking." So he pulls a switchblade on me.
Cue eyeroll.
"Look, I really don't have time for this shit. I'm late for my thing already." "The hell kind of thing do you have going at midnight?"
"Satanic ritual." /deadpan.
"?!?"
"Yeah, we're going to eat the heart of a hobo to obtain eternal life. That reminds me, I'm in charge of getting the hobo..." *cracks neck and knuckles* "I think you'll do."
Cue hobo running in terror and screaming something to the effect of "Get away! Evil skull! Demon!"
Chapter ??+1: Return of the S10 thief.
I was on the way home from the local bus station this morning after I worked out (I had to buy a bus ticket for one of my cousins who would be going back home, we decided to buy the ticket in advance), when I start getting this feeling that I'm being followed. Eventually, I stop by this dumpster and turn around. There's this gaggle of punks, maybe six or so. But I get this weird feeling that I recognize one of them.
"Can I help you, gentlemen?"
"We want your cell phone, your money, your shoes..."
"As the Rolling Stones used to sing, You Can't Always Get What You Want. By the way, I think I recognize that little pudge over there."
I point to the guy. Sure enough, it was the punk I had stopped when I was run over by that S10.

The guy starts sweating bullets, while the others turn to mock him. Meanwhile, I peer into the dumpster and I see this broom stick poking out. I grab it and spin it around a little.
"Glad you guys could have a laugh. Bye bye."

"Shake him."
Cue me falling back on my old kenjutsu days to force them to regret it. The Pudge, however, hadn't even moved.
"Better call an ambulance. I think this shit's infected with something."

My mom and stepdad were gone over the weekend. As usual, that leaves me to take care of the house. Which includes our two dogs. I began my weekend by soaking in the tub and listening to Iron Maiden.
Our dogs, which are mischievous as hell and occasionally QUITE noisy, behaved properly over the weekend, including but not limited to:
- Not barking in the wee hours of the morning;
- Not going potty where they weren't supposed to go;
- Not bothering me for food, and eating when I do.

Seriously, let's say it weighs 30 kg, and that's being generous and assuming he didn't just grab a slab of iron and pounded it into shape. He can obviously move it, even with lots of effort, but he doesn't know the first thing about making the cut. He'd have an easier time holding it parallel or diagonal to the ground and rotating his waist so as to let the blade's weight do the work for him.

Roleplaying Experiences Thread from SA
A friend of mine, one of my regular players, borrowed my Call of Cthulhu material and decided he was going to run a game at the gaming society we both attend. This was a bad idea for a couple of reasons, the first being that it's hard to do evocative horror when you have a busy, happy background going on around you (unless you're specifically playing up the social alienation angle). The second, and more important, reason it was a bad idea was because he invited Donnie to play.
Donnie is a good guy. I ran a Blue Rose campaign, he played in it, and it was great fun for all involved. However, Donnie is not a subtle guy, and he's not the sort of guy who can experience horror or exercise fearful judgement when it's required. As evidence toward this, when the group was rolling up reasonable, urbane, ordinary Call of Cthulhu characters, he decided to make a doctor.
With maximum ranks in the "headbutt" skill. More points in "headbutt" than he had in "medicine", and his character was a doctor. My friend convinced him to at least make his "medicine" skill equal to "headbutt", and the game proceeded on track.
You know the old saying, "Give a man a hammer, and everything looks like a nail?" Well, when you turn a man into a hammer, the same thing is true. Donnie tried to headbutt everything even vaguely problematic. It started with a door that wouldn't open, escalated to an ATM (which he scored a critical success against, and landed some free cash) and climaxed with him headbutting a skeleton after stumbling out-
Let's wind it back a bit. During the course of the adventure, when they started encountering horrific skeletons that stalked their every move during the night, the party decided to tool up on weaponry. They visited a mall, broke in, and decided to ransack some of the shops to acquire weapons. Someone got a fire axe from a hardware store. Most got guns from a gun store. Donnie, since he liked fireworks, decided to drive to the local mining supply depot while this was happening, and after headbutting his way into a badly locked supply shack he made off with a backpack full of dynamite.
Eventually they tracked the skeletons down to an old well in the back garden of a manor house, and after a bit of research discovered that it had a cursed stone in at the bottom. Being pro-active, Donnie suggested they lower him into the well with a flashlight and his dynamite, and he'd rig it to blow. It sounded plausible, so they lowered him down with the flashlight and a pistol, and waited until he was in place.
Messing around in the thick mud at the bottom, his flashlight soon failed. Not alarmed, Donnie started feeling around to find the cursed stone, and was in the process of feeling its edges when the cursed blood he was sloshing around in began to form into yet more skeletons, as it was so dark down there it might as well be night. A skeleton grabbed the rope and pulled it down, and then began wrestling with him, dragging him into the mud.
Donnie let out a shout. Up at the top of the well, the rest of the party thought he was asking for the dynamite, and tossed it down. Desperately, Donnie began to headbutt the dynamite, hoping to set it off before the skeleton flayed him alive. Cue the following exchange:
"He's taking a long time down there."
"Can you see what's going on?"
"No, my flashlight isn't working."
"Give me those matches."
The player fumbled and dropped the match, and Donnie simultaneously landed a critical hit with his headbutt.
A massive explosion blew the well to smithereens. Rolling on the resistance table, Donnie survived the initial explosion, was thrown several blocks away, and crashed into some lady's house, breaking his legs. Understandably panicked, the lady called an ambulance, and five minutes later it turned up. At this point Donnie regained consciousness, and rather than be taken to hospital, he held the ambulance crew up with his pistol and stole the ambulance.
Meanwhile, a horrible, rapidly decaying, muddy skeleton made from blood and charred, broken stone clawed its way out of the well in the shadow of the (now wrecked) house and began to advance on the party. Cue a massive combat that grew rapidly more tense, until it was interrupted by the sound of...
Sirens? The ambulance crashed through the fence, ran over the skeleton and screeched to a halt. Donnie, his legs broken, staggered out of the ambulance and fell to the ground, right beside the pinned monster. It proceeded to try and grab him, and he responded the only way he knew how.
With a headbutt.

The D&D 3.0 book Masters of the Wild has a prestige class called Forsaker. You can probably appreciate the concept: a character without magic items; who doesn't even notice an Antimagic Field; who doesn't suffer greatly when all his stuff is taken away or destroyed; who doesn't need to participate in all the nitpicking of treasure division.
But most important, the Forsaker is a character defined entirely by who he is and what he does. It lets you more fully explore the nuances of a race, and focus on role playing in tough situations.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla (Reuters) - Helen Staudinger, 92, wanted a kiss.
But authorities say after her 53-year-old neighbor refused, the central Florida woman aimed a semi-automatic pistol at his house and fired four times.
"If my head would have been over just a little bit further, (a bullet) probably would have hit me in the back of the head," the neighbor, Dwight Bettner, told Reuters.
Staudinger remained in jail on Tuesday, a day after being arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and shooting into a dwelling. Her next court date is April 26.
The case of the kiss that wasn't occurred in Fort McCoy, Florida, about 20 miles northeast of Ocala.
Bettner, a former law enforcement officer and boilermaker, said his elderly neighbor has seemed attracted to him since he moved in six months ago. He's not sure why.
"I've taken her trash out for her, just neighborly stuff," Bettner said. "I guess she just took that as something else."
He told Marion County Sheriff's deputies that Staudinger threatened to shoot him recently when he told her he had a girlfriend but didn't follow through.
Just after noon on Monday, Bettner argued with Staudinger when she came to his house and refused to leave, according to an incident report.
"I want a kiss before I leave," Bettner said Staudinger told him.
No, he said.
"Just go back to your property, and leave me alone," Bettner recalled saying.
Bettner was on the phone with his father when he heard gunshots moments later. One bullet went through a window, spraying him with glass.
Staudinger told deputies that she fired at Bettner's new Mitsubishi 3000GT, a car "that he loved so much," the incident report said.
Bettner said on Tuesday that he would probably move out of his rented home.
"I just don't need the stress or the hassle," he said. "I thought this only happened to younger people."

SAN ANTONIO (Reuters) - A Taco Bell drive-through customer who became enraged because of a price increase on Beefy Crunch Burritos fired a BB gun through the window at a manager on Sunday, police said.
No one was hurt from the shots fired by the man, who also waved a pistol and an assault rifle in the parking lot, Police Sergeant Chris Benavides said.
As the restaurant's employees and customers hit the floor, the manager called police, and when officers arrived, the angry patron fired several shots at the police cars, Benavides said.
The man then barricaded himself inside a nearby motel room, sparking a standoff that lasted until police lobbed tear gas inside and the man surrendered.
Benavides said the burritos had been sold for 99 cents each as a promotion, but the man was apparently angry that the promotion had ended, and the price had gone up to $1.49.
The name of the 'taco rage' suspect has not been released because he had not yet been formally charged early Monday. Benavides said that the man will be charged with three counts of attempted capital murder, and that additional charges are possible.
The man never did get his burritos.

I had a crowning moment of heartwarming today. :D
I was out at a clothing store to pay a bill for my mom, when I hear this kid crying and I see like half a dozen store clerks over him. Kid couldn't possibly be older than 4, and the clerks couldn't get him to stop crying.
So I walk up close, kneel, look him in the eye and ask,
"Hey kiddo, what are you crying about?"
The boy instantly clams up and looks back. After swallowing a couple of hiccups, he tells me he got lost from his mother, and he's afraid she'll be angry with him.
"Naw, that kind of thing happens all the time. Why don't you dry your tears, tell these nice ladies your name and your mom's name, and they'll find her for you in no time."
"Kay", he said back to me. When I was about to get up, he grabbed my sleeve and asked if I'd stick with him until his mom was found. I smiled back, talked to him and we played in the back room of the store until his mom arrived. She was obviously upset, but when she was about to scold him, I interrupted.
"Don't you dare. He was scared out of his wits before I spoke to him, and if you give him a second reason to cry today, so help me, I'll bend you over my knee and spank your bum in front of him."
The woman was pretty astonished, but when she looked down and noticed how quiet the kid was, she thanked me and they left.

They may not have had any. The old woman's could have been her old man's pistol, and there's no guarantees they were legally purchased.
Story two doesn't state whether the guy shot the firearms, only the BB gun. In hich case, that may have been the single fire civilian version of the AK instead of the class III fully automatic. I don't trust news stories involving guns since I saw photographs in one that had two BB guns and a remington rifle falsely called a glock (wasn't glock shaped at all), an uzi (looked nothing like an uzi), and a mossberg. The rifle clearly had the remington stamp on it, as well as burned into the stock.

So I was lurking around the gamefaqs PE 3rd Birthday forum, and I post this:

The FF dream team was always Amano/Sakaguchi/Uematsu. The second that changed, FF started to suck, massively. 7 was still reasonably good even without Amano (and is single-handedly Squenix's most milked sacred cow).
And Enix did make plenty of very good games. It just never focused on the outside-of-Japan market as much as Square did. Then, after the fusion, they realized they were sitting on a huge pile of money and decided to start assimilating every minor developer they could get their hands on. This pretty much killed what little competition Square and Enix alone had in the market, while each component company already enjoyed the laurels of being badass in their own rights with hit after hit in their curriculum. THEN, they realized that they didn't have to put as much effort into the game when they could simply staple the name "Final Fantasy" to a random piece of crap once a year and make a killing off it.
No competition at all is just as bad as or worse than cutthroat competition. It's that simple.
As for whoever said that FFXIII's soundtrack is better than Uematsu productions: go listen to Darkness and Starlight. If you're still not convinced, kindly do the gene pool a favor and go eat shotgun bullets. Yesterday. Preferrably by pulling the trigger.[/spoiler]

Blood donations are always a hassle for the nurses involved. They swore they could feel the pulse but poking the needle in draws no blood. They had to dig around and keep poking in. Its like trying to stick the meat thermometer in while trying to avoid touching bone.
Its painful, but for a good cause I can stand it. I just hate it when it takes over 4-5 stabbings before they finally draw blood.

So I was out yesterday (I figured it'd been enough time since my last disastrous encounter with the nightlife), and I run into this nice chick. Now, I'm usually pretty dense when it comes to come-ons, but this one caught my eye pretty damn quick.
I'm chatting her up when this large douchebag comes out of the blue and demands I stop talking to his girl. At which point I notice he's drunk off his ass. I ask her if she knows the guy. She informs, succintly, that he's her ex and he's not over her. So I turn to the guy.

So the guy tries to slug me. Too slow, too drunk, too moronic to work. I just leave my foot in front of him and he stumbles naturally upon it.
At this point half the bar is laughing at the guy. So he gets up, gets angrier and tries the same thing again. I just sidestep and gently push him forward by the back of his neck.
"Y'know, if I were wearing red and she really WERE your girl, the metaphor would be complete."*
This goes on for a while until security removes his ass.
Later that night, I score.

Farmers in eastern China have been left perplexed after their watermelons began to explode one by one.
An investigation by state media found farms in Jiangsu province were losing acres of fruit because of the problem.
The overuse of a chemical that helps fruit grow faster was blamed in one report by China Central Television.
But agriculture experts were unable to explain why chemical-free melons were exploding. They cited the weather and abnormal size of the melon as factors.
China Central Television said farmers were overspraying their crops with the growth promoter, hoping they could get their fruit to market ahead of the peak season and increase their profits.

According to the Xinhua news agency, 20 farmers in a village in Jiangsu province planted imported seeds from Japan, with 10 households saying their watermelons began exploding last month.
Farmer Liu Mingsuo told Xinhua that more than two-thirds of his crop had blown up.
He said he had used chemicals to boost their growth on 6 May, and the following day more than 180 melons exploded. Mr Liu was reported to be the only farmer from the 10 households who used chemicals.
Wang Dehong, who has been farming watermelons for 20 years, couldn't understand why his fruit also exploded as he had not used any chemicals.
Agricultural experts investigating the incident were unable to offer an explanation.
China has approved the usage of the growth chemical under certain quotas. So far, tests show the chemical is safe, Xinhua reported.
However, as the public is increasingly concerned about food safety, experts say a quality tracking system should be introduced, detailing every stage along the food chain, to inform the public fully, and ensure food safety.

Chinese prisoners were forced into 'gold farming' – building up credits on online games such as World of Warcraft.
As a prisoner at the Jixi labour camp, Liu Dali would slog through tough days breaking rocks and digging trenches in the open cast coalmines of north-east China. By night, he would slay demons, battle goblins and cast spells.
Liu says he was one of scores of prisoners forced to play online games to build up credits that prison guards would then trade for real money. The 54-year-old, a former prison guard who was jailed for three years in 2004 for "illegally petitioning" the central government about corruption in his hometown, reckons the operation was even more lucrative than the physical labour that prisoners were also forced to do.
"Prison bosses made more money forcing inmates to play games than they do forcing people to do manual labour," Liu told the Guardian. "There were 300 prisoners forced to play games. We worked 12-hour shifts in the camp. I heard them say they could earn 5,000-6,000rmb [£470-570] a day. We didn't see any of the money. The computers were never turned off."
Memories from his detention at Jixi re-education-through-labour camp in Heilongjiang province from 2004 still haunt Liu. As well as backbreaking mining toil, he carved chopsticks and toothpicks out of planks of wood until his hands were raw and assembled car seat covers that the prison exported to South Korea and Japan. He was also made to memorise communist literature to pay off his debt to society.
But it was the forced online gaming that was the most surreal part of his imprisonment. The hard slog may have been virtual, but the punishment for falling behind was real.
"If I couldn't complete my work quota, they would punish me physically. They would make me stand with my hands raised in the air and after I returned to my dormitory they would beat me with plastic pipes. We kept playing until we could barely see things," he said.
It is known as "gold farming", the practice of building up credits and online value through the monotonous repetition of basic tasks in online games such as World of Warcraft. The trade in virtual assets is very real, and outside the control of the games' makers. Millions of gamers around the world are prepared to pay real money for such online credits, which they can use to progress in the online games.
The trading of virtual currencies in multiplayer games has become so rampant in China that it is increasingly difficult to regulate. In April, the Sichuan provincial government in central China launched a court case against a gamer who stole credits online worth about 3000rmb.
The lack of regulations has meant that even prisoners can be exploited in this virtual world for profit.
According to figures from the China Internet Centre, nearly £1.2bn of make- believe currencies were traded in China in 2008 and the number of gamers who play to earn and trade credits are on the rise.
It is estimated that 80% of all gold farmers are in China and with the largest internet population in the world there are thought to be 100,000 full-time gold farmers in the country.
In 2009 the central government issued a directive defining how fictional currencies could be traded, making it illegal for businesses without licences to trade. But Liu, who was released from prison before 2009 believes that the practice of prisoners being forced to earn online currency in multiplayer games is still widespread.
"Many prisons across the north-east of China also forced inmates to play games. It must still be happening," he said.
"China is the factory of virtual goods," said Jin Ge, a researcher from the University of California San Diego who has been documenting the gold farming phenomenon in China. "You would see some exploitation where employers would make workers play 12 hours a day. They would have no rest through the year. These are not just problems for this industry but they are general social problems. The pay is better than what they would get for working in a factory. It's very different," said Jin.
"The buyers of virtual goods have mixed feelings … it saves them time buying online credits from China," said Jin.
The emergence of gold farming as a business in China – whether in prisons or sweatshops could raise new questions over the exporting of goods real or virtual from the country.
"Prison labour is still very widespread – it's just that goods travel a much more complex route to come to the US these days. And it is not illegal to export prison goods to Europe, said Nicole Kempton from the Laogai foundation, a Washington-based group which opposes the forced labour camp system in China.
Well ok, its not completely humorous, but that WoW gold mining is more profitable than actual hard labor manufacturing is a riot.

But it was the forced online gaming that was the most surreal part of his imprisonment. The hard slog may have been virtual, but the punishment for falling behind was real.
"If I couldn't complete my work quota, they would punish me physically. They would make me stand with my hands raised in the air and after I returned to my dormitory they would beat me with plastic pipes. We kept playing until we could barely see things," he said.
It is known as "gold farming", the practice of building up credits and online value through the monotonous repetition of basic tasks in online games such as World of Warcraft. The trade in virtual assets is very real, and outside the control of the games' makers. Millions of gamers around the world are prepared to pay real money for such online credits, which they can use to progress in the online games.
The trading of virtual currencies in multiplayer games has become so rampant in China that it is increasingly difficult to regulate. In April, the Sichuan provincial government in central China launched a court case against a gamer who stole credits online worth about 3000rmb.
The lack of regulations has meant that even prisoners can be exploited in this virtual world for profit.
According to figures from the China Internet Centre, nearly £1.2bn of make- believe currencies were traded in China in 2008 and the number of gamers who play to earn and trade credits are on the rise.
It is estimated that 80% of all gold farmers are in China and with the largest internet population in the world there are thought to be 100,000 full-time gold farmers in the country.
In 2009 the central government issued a directive defining how fictional currencies could be traded, making it illegal for businesses without licences to trade. But Liu, who was released from prison before 2009 believes that the practice of prisoners being forced to earn online currency in multiplayer games is still widespread.
"Many prisons across the north-east of China also forced inmates to play games. It must still be happening," he said.
"China is the factory of virtual goods," said Jin Ge, a researcher from the University of California San Diego who has been documenting the gold farming phenomenon in China. "You would see some exploitation where employers would make workers play 12 hours a day. They would have no rest through the year. These are not just problems for this industry but they are general social problems. The pay is better than what they would get for working in a factory. It's very different," said Jin.
"The buyers of virtual goods have mixed feelings … it saves them time buying online credits from China," said Jin.
The emergence of gold farming as a business in China – whether in prisons or sweatshops could raise new questions over the exporting of goods real or virtual from the country.
"Prison labour is still very widespread – it's just that goods travel a much more complex route to come to the US these days. And it is not illegal to export prison goods to Europe, said Nicole Kempton from the Laogai foundation, a Washington-based group which opposes the forced labour camp system in China.

(Reuters) - A hacker group has engineered yet another attack on the computer networks of Sony Corp, a setback to the Japanese company's efforts to move past a security crisis that erupted in April.
The group, which calls itself LulzSec, said on Thursday that it broke into servers that run Sony Pictures Entertainment websites, and then compromised the personal information of more than 1 million Sony customers.
Sony officials could not immediately be reached for comment.
It posted some of the data it accessed on the Web -- including the names, home and email addresses, and passwords of some customers. But said it did not have the resources to extract and publish all of what it collected.
"From a single injection, we accessed EVERYTHING," the hacking group said in the statement. "Why do you put such faith in a company that allows itself to become open to these simple attacks?"
This is the latest embarrassment in an ongoing security crisis for Sony, which discovered in April that hackers had broken into its networks, stealing data from more than 100 million accounts. Nobody has claimed responsibility for that attack.
But Sony's networks have since become a target for hackers looking for holes that will allow them to get into servers located around the globe. Sony had confirmed at least four other break-ins prior to the attack on Thursday.
LulzSec had claimed responsibility for one of those attacks, an assault on Sony Music Japan.
The group took credit for Thursday's attack in a note posted on its website. It said it had hacked into a database that included unencrypted passwords as well as names, address and birth dates of Sony's customers.
The original attacks, considered the biggest in Internet history, prompted the Japanese electronics giant to shut down its PlayStation Network and other services for close to a month.

It basically goes like this. I was walking down the street when this guy approaches. He was skinny, smelly, and didn't look particularly strong, or even armed - but the way he looked at me told me he was a two-bit hood. Guy comes up to me and says, "Dude, I've got two other of my guys further down the street, we don't want trouble, we just want your money, your cell phone... It's three on one, you know."
"All THAT tells me is you didn't get into the drug-dealing business because you have the math skills of a first grader. Can't count beyond ten without an extra set of hands, can you? If you don't want trouble, you're just gonna have to walk away."

At this point, the guy decides to try and get violent. Now, the most basic move anyone in "street fighting" goes for is a low kick followed by a swing - you grab the attention of your target and smack him in the head, disorienting him. It usually works pretty well because most people without any kind of formal training fights head-to-head, and only cares about the front angle.
I, however, had this moment of clarity where I could almost see the guy moving in advance. My brain kinda kickstarted the adrenaline from there, and I had this quick play in slow motion where he completed his move and I reacted. So I stepped to the side, making the guy get closer without hitting me, then stepped forward while swinging my upper body with an outstretched arm aiming for his throat. Dude flipped and fell on his back like a sack of potatoes. He clutched his neck and started coughing like I'd given him tuberculosis. As I walked away I could see his two "friends" running up to him and moving him away.
I can't wait to learn actual kung fu strikes. They're bound to be more fun than just improvising.

Do note that learning martial arts actually weakens your combat ability at first, since it makes you more predictable (especially to guys studying the same school). You only start seeing advantages once you're good enough to improvise them.

Talked to a guy who drives the ice-cream truck the other day. He told me about one of his colleagues who got approached by a guy (approximately 17 years old) with what looked like a gun. As the punk puts the gun to the drivers face he realises it's a fake. So on pure instinct he throws a straight punch right on the guys nose, which breaks it and causes him to fall flat on his back. At this point he just goes back into his truck and drives to the next stop.

I had this funny dream about the Armaggeddon as a harem anime. With me as the protagonist. It basically went like this: it was my task to defeat the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, lest humanity died.
Of course, what they didn't tell me was that the horsemen were actually horsewomen, all of which were inexplicably hot, cute and/or gorgeous.
War was the first. She was a fiesty hotblooded redhead somewhat remniscent of Shadow Skill's Elle Ragu. She had the power to command flame, which she initially tried to use to scorch me to a cinder (making a snide comment about how no man could outlast her. Yes, it was a stamina joke), but she wasn't counting on my burning heart being stronger than the flames of hatred! I couldn't beat her physically, however, so I had to beat her mentally... by stealing her first kiss. At which point I convinced her that love was stronger than hatred.
Afterwards I learned that defeating a horsewoman got me her powers. Cool.
Death was next. She was a bratty goth gal that was almost dangerously close to being loli. She tried to make me depressed and unwilling to live at first. I shrugged it off because depression is a bitch and I've dealt with worse. Then she tried to snuff my lifeforce outright. The more effort she put into it, the worse she failed. Turned out her will to kill me wasn't stronger than my will to live. She eventually tired and knocked herself out. Turns out of the four she was the oldest, which was the exact reason she looked like a little girl. She didn't like to show her age.
War asked me why I didn't simply burn her. "I want the harem ending" was the response.
Famine was for some reason treated as being the last, despite the fact there should have been a third. She was basically a big-breasted MILF. She was treated as being the most dangerous of the four because she could 'eat' the person's powers. At some point, I was getting the upper hand when another girl tried to interfere - apparently a servant of Famine's. Medium-height girl, short black hair, dressed in white. I stopped her saying that each fight was one-on-one so she couldn't get in the way. She blushed and moved away. I actually beat Famine by using War's and Death's powers - I noticed that every time she ate their powers, Famine's chest grew bigger. So I immobilized her.
Afterwards, she was happy to enjoy a meal home-cooked by me. Then I did the math and realized there was a horsewoman missing. At which point Famine pointed to the short-haired girl, and introduced her to me as Conquest. For some reason she was the shiest of the four. I beat her by being stern with her. Then I asked if Pestilence wasn't supposed to be one of them. Famine replied to me she was home sick, so Conquest filled in for her.

(Reuters) - A lactating U.S. woman was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after she sprayed sheriff's deputies with breast milk as they tried to remove her from a vehicle, police said on Monday.
Ohio-resident Stephanie Robinette, 30, was arrested and charged with domestic violence and assault linked to a domestic dispute, as well as resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, according to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office.
It said Robinette's husband told authorities the pair had been attending a wedding when his wife got drunk and started a dispute. He said that she hit him multiple times before locking herself in her car outside a banquet facility on Saturday.
Sheriff Walter L. Davis III said that when police approached the car to speak to her, she yelled profanities and refused to get out.
"When deputies attempted to remove Robinette from the vehicle she advised the deputies that she was a breastfeeding mother and proceeded to remove her right breast from her dress and began spraying deputies and the vehicle with her breast milk," Davis said.
Robinette was later removed from the car and arrested after more deputies arrived on the scene.
"This is a prime example of how alcohol can make individuals do things they would not normally do," Davis said.

So I trolled two people at the bank pretty hard today.

Two funny things happened at the office today.
First, I was putting together some monthly monetary statements, which basically meant quite a bit of stapling. Since I had to do much of it one-handed, I simply put the stapler down at one place, slid the papers underneath, and slapped the stapler.
...until eventually my coworkers, who share a table with me, asked me to stop for a second and pulled the stapler up. There was a small but perfectly-shaped dent in the form of the stapler's base on the desk. I didn't notice, but apparently every time I slapped the stapler, the whole table shook.
Second, one of the guys from the archives was there to deliver a few boxes of documents from another building that had started working with us recently, when my coworker pointed out to him there was a small wall, about waist height, full of boxes they needed to take down. The guy took offense when he was asked when he would be bringing them down. Things started to escalate until I interrupted.
"Okay, first, if there's gonna be blood, grab the bleach first, cuz I'm not cleaning up after the two of you. Second, if you're gonna have a dick size competition, stop talking about it and drop your pants already to settle this down. It'd be kinda pointless though, because mine's the biggest anyway."
The two of them shared a laugh and things got back down to an acceptable level of civility. :p
