Your memory fails you, sir. The men behind the Boston Tea Party were protesting abusive taxes from England on tea and stamps. Since the british were very enthusiastic about their 5 o'clock tea, some of the local dumped a certain smuggling ship's contents into the ocean in protest.

From context, I wager that Tea Party enthusiast is basically an unfucked "we are feminists, your argument is invalid" bitch of some sort.
More of a slightly off-kilter anti-obamanist group. I believe there's a wiki entry that's nearly 100% accurate on it.

In short, they're sort of like libertarians, but really socially conservative.  Also, the movement is still relatively new, and there's little real cohesion at this point.  In other words, the movement really caught on when it's founding beliefs were broad statements like "the government is too big and is spending too much", but they've had trouble forming a single, concise party when they try to define specifics.
