Q 267 Is there a metamagic feat which adds the fear descriptor to a spell?
Fell Frighten from Libris Mortis might.

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

No, it doesn't appear to. Thanks anyway.

Q 269:  The Clap of Thunder [Reserve] feat (Comp Mage) allows you to make a touch attack as a standard action and deal sonic damage.  The Warlock invocation Hideous Blow allows you to make any melee attack as a standard action and add your EB damage to it.  Can the two be combined?

I'm guessing no, but I was hoping....

A 269: It doesn't appear so. Both require a standard action.

So, this is a simple question that may not have a simple answer.

Does Spontaneous Divination (Complete Champion p52) let a 5th level wizard qualify for Knight of the Weave? (Champions of Valour p111)

A270: I would say yes. You can "spontaneously cast any spell of the divination school..." Since many of those spells are Arcane spells (and a wizard casts arcane spells), you can spontaneously cast arcane spells. A fifth level wizard can cast level three spells, so it all seems to add up.

EDIT: The real question is, why would you want to? It gives Charisma-based casting (generating MAD), a crude method of negating the regular penalty associated with spontaneous casting and metamagic, etc.

Two words: Ultimate Magus.

Wiz5/KotW1/UM10/XXX4

KotW casting level rules mean you never have to worry about losing wizard levels cause your KotW CL is always one higher, 8th level on the KotW progression gets you 6th level spells so you can start throwing persistent stuff about.  You don't care about Cha because you never need the KotW DCs.  Needing charisma 16 by 16th isn't an enormous handicap.

So you get 19th level wizard spell progression to go with 0,4,4,3,3,2,2 spells from KotW.  Compared to 6,6,6,5,3,0,0 from an equivalent sorceror dip.  Also you have slightly better saves and HP than your sorceror buddy.

Q 271

So, the Bone Knight (Eberron:5Nations) can take control of undead from a friendly cleric & control them via his banner class ability.

Is there any evidence that this is a second "control pool," distinct from the general "control pool" you get from being able to rebuke undead?

Q272 Besides the Jotunbrud feat, is there any way to get Powerful Build or similar ability?

Play one of the 3 races that grants Powerful build?

It's very feat intensive, but taking all the Improved Trip, Bull Rush, etc feats gets you somewhat the same ability.  But again, ridiculously expensive feat-wise.

A 272b Enlarge Person (cast by others, in belt form (MIC)...) / Expansion (tattoo ?)
I doubt it's what you want, but I don't think what you want exists (save for Jotunbrud).

A272C

there are some items that may help:

Strongarm bracers(MIC) allow you to use Larger Weapons

Skin of Proteus(XPH) ..... continuously allows you to take another form:
Quote from: SRD
Skin of Proteus: This psychoactive skin continually affects the wearer as the metamorphosis power. While in a form other than his natural form, the wearer does not appear to be wearing the skin.
Moderate psychometabolism; ML 7th; Craft Universal Item, metamorphosis; Price 84,000 gp; Weight 2 lb.

Q273 Can a character with Jotunbrud use the Knockback feat? (I guess not, but I have to ask...)

A273: Jotunbrud alone isn't enough to qualify for Knockback, since you're neither Large-sized nor a Goliath.

Q 274: Are there any feats or abilities that allow a character to Hustle for longer than one hour without becoming fatigued?  Endurance only deals with marching longer than 8 hours a day.  So far as I can tell there is nothing that allows you to move faster than a standard march for anything longer than one hour.

A 274 Mwahaha, I got this one ! Though you won't like the answer: Chant of the Long Road (CS), one of the most useless feats ever written, allows a Bard & his group to hustle 1 extra hour per music spent.
*bows to the audience* :D

(I wouldn't be surprised if others abilities/items existed but I don't know them off-hand.)

But why not simply accept the nonlethal damage from the extra hours and then cure it ?
edit: nevermind, I guess this is for low-level characters.
