A 560: There's also one in Sandstorm, the Collapsing Crescent Fan. Gets +4 to attack vs flat-footed.

:D wow that's incredible. So could you theoretically cast a spell level X from a silent image, and then cast a spell level (level of silent image) + X*2? Like heighten it to a 9th level spell and then heighten another next turn to get an epic spellslot? I have no idea what the fuck you'd do with it, but could you do it?

No, because you can't apply the same metamagic feat twice to the same spell.

Q562: I know that spells only check for targets when they are cast, though it wouldn't hurt to ask two things:

A) I have a Morphing Sizing Maul. I cast Greater Mighty Wallop. I change it into a non-bludgeoning weapon. The spell's still effective, right?

B) Where exactly is the rules text about spells checking for target only upon casting?

Dolorous blow... doubles crit range and allows auto confirms, but doesn't work on natural weapons and doesn't do anything about effectively bludgeoning. Is there another one aside from the SC one?

Hmm, seems it WAS Earth Hammer.  Well, that one only works on weapons too, so....

Huh, nice. But not exacly what i need, no animals :-) Any idea?
I also know about specialist wizard options, but its not it, as long as Transmutator have sth worth a feat.
Actually i want do thing like this... have 1 level dip in wizard specialist (transmutation) and take familiar later on. And i need sth nice, feat will be best (always useful) or sth better than enchance atribute.

Ok i found: Arcane Reabsorbtion and Sudden Shift. Both seems to be go ok. Thanks

The best ability from a 1-level Wizard dip woul be Abrupt Jaunt as far as I'm concerned, but for that you need to be a Conjurer.
For the Familiar, there's the feat in Complete Arcane :)

Q 565

Where, if anywhere, does it say that you can willingly reduce the amount of damage that you deal (or even just not deal your extra damage from Str)?

You can willingly deal nonlethal, though.

At a -4 penalty to attack rolls, unless you have an ability that says otherwise (or with a weapon that allows you to do so such as a whip).

Yeah. I was asking because I wanted to kickbox with my allies while in Martial Spirit stance to heal them up, but with the Str bonus, they end up taking more nonlethal than I heal them... There's got to be something I'm missing.

This may sound silly to remind you of, but whenever you heal regular damage, you heal an equal amount of nonlethal damage. Does that help?

I know, but when you deal 1d3+4 nonlethal per turn, the nonlethal damage still outweighs the healing, no?

You know, non-lethal damage heals at a much accelerated rate compared to lethal damage...

Right. Still impractical, though. A hit for 6 nonlethal damage would take 4 hours to heal after healing from Martial Spirit, assuming no other source of healing. (At level 1, which the campaign I'm thinking about using this in is starting at)

wouldn't this work the same way, or similar to, arrows of cure light wounds?  Or does that only not damage people because they're magical?
