Waiting for a resultant hint from someone trying to spot the soldiers, Eisen starts to think out loud. "Is there a way in hell of shooting our way out of this? Please tell me you people have killed something before." Eisen looks around the room. The doctor and Russo both have an appearance that doesn't scream killer, and of course the boy doesn't. He felt more confident with Richard and Kestrel at least; if only he could have brought in Russo's plane's guns... "Bones, is there a way out other than through the front or back doors?"

"course I killed things! just coz we can all handle a piece doesn't mean this has to be a bloodbath" hisses Russo

"we could try and talk our way out of this, might save on ammo for when we really need it" Russo sands up ready to duck behind the little enclosure behind him or dive out of the way

"get in here kid" he gently reaches out and pushes the kid behind him into the little booth, and whispers to him never taking his eyes off the front door "you get in there and hide under the table, don't come out till we grab you"

"Uhh who did you say you were looking for!? Avery!? there's nobody here called Avery that I know, just peaceful folks having a drink come on in we'll buy you one for the misunderstanding!"

((diplomacy+fast talk 16 that is NOT going to work....))

Eisen's eyes perk up. Russo might have just figured it out. Turning harshly to his partners, he hisses "Hide bones, disguise him or scar him, he can't be seen!" Then calling towards the door, Turning with a sharp and cold expression, "Get him fucking out of here! What can you do, Bones!?"

I do? If push comes to shove, let's just say I know Al Capone Bones says as he heads for the basement stairs.

The Kid hides under the table behind Russo.

Richard can see at least two Nazis outside the doors. They seem to be looking at each other, with confused expressions. They appear to be talking with others outside of his line of sight.

Eisen may have bought some time. After what sounded like some sort of discussion from out front, the two Nazis enter silhouetted in the doorway, momentarily blinded in the vestibule.

As their eyes adjust to the gloom, a third man approaches the door. This man is Carlos Garcia.

They look around the bar.

The Nazi smoking a cigarette turns to Carlos.

Carlos says motioning to Max. He voice is rich with sarcasm.

((I'm assuming that I can do this))

Richard laughs coldly.  "I was a sniper in the last war, I've killed plenty."

As he sees the Nazis start to enter, Richard ducks down behind the bar and tries to find a place to hide.

having turned to his side Russo starts steadily drawing his Browning from it's holster being careful not let the aggressors see and stalling for time

Moving over to put a hand on Russo's shoulder, and placing his hand seemingly inconspicuously on his rifle (at the same time, he does seem to obscure vision of Russo from the soldiers), Eisen gives a rich laugh at this comment about Max and his hat. "Hahahah, that is a compatriot of mine; we met on the ship coming here. He could not possibly have become a target for authorities in the short time he has been here! Unless he's made more women angry than we know about, am I right?

Anyway, look at how nervous the child is. You know, I gave him a fright earlier, dressed as I am. He must be simply terrified of soldiers, as unusual here as they must be. And honestly, how trustworthy are children, daydreamers all of them? Who is this Avery, and what does he look like? Is he the one on all the posters in town?"
He nudges Max suggestively with a grin, enjoying fucking with the Nazi's heads.

Turning to the two soldiers, he asks somewhat hushed,

Max while Bones moves to hide at the basement, he also moves quickly and jumps over to the bar next to Padre.
There he unholsters his pistol.

The adventurer stays calm while Carlos speak, pulls out one of the high quality cigars he bought before ,and puts it in his mouth.

[[ I'm glad for your enthusiasm, but please make certain that you post what your character's position is at the end of your turn, otherwise I am left to guess, and if bullets begin to fly, I'm sure you will want to be exactly where you thought you were. ]]

"Oh you wound me TERRIBLY Russo. How can you even SAY such things. I'm quite surprised to see you tangled up in this affair, mi amigo." He smiles like a hungry shark. "These German soldiers are not my goons. Merely visitors to my wonderful city, and willing to pay for any sort of valuable information... like who Avery's boy is. Besides-- he and that brat had it coming to them." He motioned towards the booth where the kid is crouching down behind the table.

"ENOUGH!" The pale German barks. "Ve are not here to play games viz you. All ve want is is Harrison Avery." He walks down the steps and towards the group (H-15). The other Nazi follows. "Ve do not zink zat ze child vould have lied after the treatment ve gave him. Jah. Ve have vays ov making him talk."

The smoking Nazi chortles loudly at the joke, and continued to chuckle.

"Stoppen Sie zu lachen. Gehen Entdeckung Avery." the first German tells the second. He stops laughing and looks menacingly towards the group as he gets ready to0 pass by you on his way to the back of the bar... and towards the basement. (G-12)

Max scans the whole area in the bar in case there is a shotgun anywhere.
Spot take 10: 15
If there is one he retrieves it, but keeps it below the bar level
Afterwards he scans the ceiling in case there are those huge chandeliers you usually find in a church. If there is one above the area the 3 Germans are crossing (they move in close proximity) he shoots its abutment.

If he is not that lucky he keeps his shotgun steady and waits for the others' actions

[[ There is an old metal chandelier.  It is 15' x15' and centered above I-13.

If it were to fall, it could hit at least two of the Nazis, if you action took place immediately as the Nazi at H-14 tells the Nazi something in German. While Carlos is very much clear.

Padre did leave his shotgun when he left the room to get water. It wasn't hidden as well as Richard is.

Hitting two birds with one stone. Is that what you would like to do? If so, I can see that is being a Surprise Round. As German's and Carlos weren't aware of the shotgun.

If this takes place, then I want everyone to give me an Initiative roll for the first actual combat round that takes place after the Surprise Round is over. Also Tell me what it is you plan to do when it becomes your turn. ]]

Listen: 22 vs noises outside.[/spoiler]

Eisen heaves up his rifle into firing position on his shoulder, cocked as he'd already had it. He takes aim not at the German, but at Carlos, holding his position. "Kindly step into the room, and put your hands on your head. Silence would be better, but first, how many are outside?" A situation he would have preferred to avoid, but whatever works; he didn't really like how pompous the obnoxious three were. And besides, Carlos might look a bit better with a hole through him...

He listens, trying to hear if anyone outside is reacting... concerned, he motions towards the backdoor with his head as a nod, keeping his eyes trained on Carlos and the front door.

The shotgun Blast coughs painfully inside the stone walls of the former church. The sound of it rings in all of your ears.

Seconds later the Chandelier crashes down from it's hold in the ceiling. It strikes part of the wooden bar, and then crushes not just the two Nazis, but the table that Eisen had set his belongings on as well. The table, the Nazis, and Eisen's stuff go crashing to the ground, pinned below the heavy cast iron chandelier.

Dead or unconscious. The two Nazis aren't moving.

Carlos doesn't answer. He looks in shock at what just occurred.
