Some background:
One one of the Eragon debates that crop up every now and then on the GitP forums, someone told the anti-Eragon posters that "creating is harder than criticizing", and that we shouldn't be so critical of Paolini if we ourselves could not right.
Now, I see several problems with this line of thinking; I can't grow apples either, but damn, do I know a bad apple when I taste one.
Anyways, I decided to pick up the gauntlet and try and write a story of my own,
Solo's Stupendously Superior Story.
The problem is, obviously, that I am a busy college student who has never been that great at writing, and who is unfortunately bereft of an editor.
I also lack parents who own a small publishing business.
Despite these disadvantages, I hope to outdo Paolini as a person, by being more receptive to advice, and maybe as a writer as well, if I can.
So if you can help me with the story, I'd appreciate it.
