Chapter 2: Friendly Fractal Fruit Farmers

They don't even seem particularly disturbed by everyone's entrance, despite the fact that Ghiktibur is essentially covered in undead blood.

[spoiler]Unless it took more than X minutes to walk here, or there was some Dispelling effect in between, we're all invisible. I used a scroll of Invisibility Sphere that I picked up as a consumable.

"If I had to guess, based on the reaction with the chick, the disease doesn't affect animals unless they're directly exposed to it. It must have targeted the workers, and since ghasts aren't so interested in animal meat as humanoid meat, the livestock haven't been infected. Hmm... we better still look around."

"We have no evidence of ghosts yet." Matsuko chimes in.

Talon begins scanning through the premises.

The barn is fairly massive, so it will take quite some time to scan through it all. It will probably go faster if you guys split up and use some kind of method, i.e. checking haystacks first, leaving Paul to examine all the chicken coops while someone else checks the pens, etc..

Fistbeard will search for hidden doors and the like in the building, taking 20 to be extra certain of finding something. (Total result of 27, I believe).

Common sense tells you there's no reason for hidden doors anywhere. There are console panels next to some of the walls, which open up into cabinets... which are all stocked with food. Either way none of them seem big enough to hold an adult individual - and since they seem to be airtight, it'd be an awful idea anyway.

[Solo]

Fistbeard pulls out some of the food and examines it.

"Hey, don't suppose any of this stuff is tainted?"

If there's room, Talon will fly up for an overhead view. Otherwise, he'll circle around and continue searching carefully for any clues.

There's enough room for an overhead survey, but animals are all you guys find.

Sabot finds no evidence of anyone in hiding... or anyone in hiding, for that matter.

Matsuko walks up to Fistbeard at his question, and a visor flickers briefly in front of her. "Well, nothing registers as far as detect magic is concerned."

Fistbeard will sample some of the food just to be sure.

The food tastes good, for animal food that is.

For all intents and purposes, as far as any of you are concerned, the place looks clean.

Landing again, Talon says to the group, "Nothing seems out of the ordinary from my aerial sweep. Should we move on to the next facility? Is there a next facility, by the way?"
