Ok. I had said I wanted to get in between CT and the wizards, to shift focus away from them, but I also don't want to make you go back and keep editing the map constantly, so I won't make you do that. I'll try to be clearer in the future. It's just difficult without numbering/lettering on the map to say exactly where I want to go.

I'm more than open to everyone updating the map on their own with each of their turns. I'd prefer that, actually. It'd make things a lot less confusing.

Something tells me that spell's not going to do any more good than my black tentacles spell. Most of them could probably pass a DC 10 balance check in their sleep. :o

They still can't see or move more than 5ft... Meaning 0ft with black tentacles on them :) ; Unless our DM wants to be play with half squares.
Monks are pretty much the best designed class ever.

Black Tentacles and Freezing Fog are both conjuration. After everything is said and done, what is the total CL for each of these in order to dispel them? AKA, what DC do I need?

Hmm, well CL of the black tentacles spell is 20, and I have a ring of enduring arcana for another +4 vs. dispel. So the total DC is 35. Should be a piece of cake for your uberdemons.

Considering greater dispel only goes up to 1d20+20, I need a 15 or better.

Raptor's turn. You're currently 40 feet up in the air and outside. You can see almost as much what Melkior and Alen can see. You need to go up another 10 feet to clear the mansion.

About the blasphemy.....
You said that everyone is affected,I assume meant everyone in the 40 ft radius?
Or is it  a different blasphemy?

I meant everyone present. Dez didn't get affected by the breath weapon, but all of them got hit with the blasphemy. Liabrand's flying so he's fine.

And just because I failed to mention it, Liabrand can also see everything that Melkior does. Just want to put that out there.

I'm not going to lie, I hate Blasphemy. It's way more powerful and useful in the hands of NPC enemies than it or the Holy version can ever be in the hands of PCs, since enemies are almost always several HD ahead of the PCs. The worst part is, it's almost like an auto-win button. Sure it's a high level spell, but if the enemy has several castings of it, then BAM, you lose a turn. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.

I'm just venting, here. I'm fairly certain there's no way for us to actually kill the demons. They're more powerful than any level 20 PC can be without shenanigans. And they're not even the enemy we were sent here to fight. If this is what we're up against first, I can't even imagine how the real enemy has been modified to make it tougher, because these guys could smoke the real threat as-printed based on what we've found out. No question.

He did say early on in this fight that it wasn't expected to be won. My guess is it the Worf syndrome trope. Guy asserted to be a bad ass gets stomped to prove how bad ass the real enemy is.

True. Plus, honestly, I didn't expect to live through this campaign anyway. I'm not the best optimizer.  :embarrassed

That's one way to look at it, archangel, and I definitely won't fault you for it because you're not exactly wrong.

Also, I'll be honest as well. I too hate Blasphemy. Especially in the games I play in because of all the LA our characters unfortunately get. You're welcome to vent though. This is stuff I need to know and hear. You're also not wrong about them being more powerful than a level 20 PC. Mostly because they're not level 20. That's the joys of ECL 20 vs CR 20.

I'm not trying to be mean, but you guys are the best group I can think of to take on the Monty Hall before taking it to the gaming convention. If you guys can't do it, I made it too powerful, even though it's supposed to be this insane by contract. Well, not "contract", but it's the closest word that I can think of.

I now realize that going with the non-caster build for the first time in ages may not have been the best idea......
If I manage to charge anything in the game I would be happy......

Well I'm glad I'm not wrong.  :lol I figure if we survive the fight due to them leaving we will find them dead due to the creature we hunt showing how bad ass the creature is and hopefully get a clue as to what tactics they tried that failed or clues as to what would work.

Betrayor I'm with you. I actually went out of my way to get rid of my weak little spells and animal companion that would died if it got sneezed on.

Well, I'll be lucky if the companion I spent a feat on survives this combat, let alone my PC. Though, if the demons simply leave because we're "too easy" then perhaps I'll be "lucky" after all. Of course, I use "lucky" fairly loosely. :)
