This flaw looks hilarious, but I think it is definitely of questionable balance... It provides several quite good benefits, and also a bonus feat, and no real drawbacks other than funny RP stuff. I think it would certainly be funny for my character, though.
Yeah, that's not terribly balanced. Sleep immunity, auto-detecting anything out of the ordinary, healing, sleeping in medium and heavy armor without fatigue, and a bonus feat at what cost?
Exactly. Maybe we could come up with a balanced version, because I do think it would be funny to fall asleep randomly all the time.
This would also be hilarious... if we made the "food" be a common PC race, like halflings.
Assuming you're likely to eat halfling a lot. Or...do you have a bite attack?
Yes, he will have a bite attack. I was thinking if it was extreme enough that he'd probably "break out" just from touching them, or maybe even being near them.
The one where you have an
extreme allergy to water is also really funny, but that could be such an extreme penalty that I'd definitely want to discuss that with you before hand. Otherwise, if we start out in a rainy climate I might not even live to see the first encounter.
I also considered just having a
fear of bodies of water, which would make some sense as drowning is one of the ways to overcome regeneration. It also makes me think of Bruce Willis' character in Unbreakable... which was a fkn awesome movie... But that might not be enough of a penalty, either. We could expand it a bit to include any body of water at all, even if it is only an inch deep. After all, it is possible to drown in a shallow pool, and it's not like it's much of a hindrance to have to walk around puddles.
This would be very funny for our resident ghoul.
Expect a slew of head puns.
