Opinion of BG?

It's like highschool, with a hundred or so people you like, couple of hundred more you ignore, one or two perpetually angry ranters, a few cool kids, and cool here is CO geek.

I there was more CO'ing innovation going on, but the board is predominantly 3.5 and thats a dead horse.

And ditto to the BG history. "And there were mendacious douchebeaggery, and did the true and the false of the 339 boards seperate, and a great flight of the true that ea find their new sanctum, the Gameologists of Brilliance."

Little drama never hurt anyone, I guess.
Macbeth.

Hamlet and Romero and Juliet

Now I'm just making fun of you.

George Romero's Romeo & Juliet: their love would defy death  - and eat your brains!

:lmao ... right

** well there was a lot of action on 4e here, initially. The sag happened within the first year.
Off site, some of the bookstore sellers are reporting more interest in Pathfinder,  than 4e.
3.Xe still has lots of hidden paths of weirdness, left to investigate. 4e not so much.

Well, yeah. There was a joy to discovering new and powerful synergies and paradigms, not to mention CO cred. Now we're like ragpickers at the end of an era.

Pathfailure ... you know, I just cant stomach giving them money. Odd isn't it? Wizards bad design I could live with, Boizo, not so much.

Which means we'll get to go to the wizards boards and listen to the 4E players bitch about how betrayed they feel when 5E comes out :D

Ah Bhu, I suspect that 4E is going to last awhile. 5, 6 and the rest are going to be 'patches' on their DOD.

But I can still hope  :p.

Well you could go over to the SJG forums and read about math and it's application in regards of 3d6 vs a d20 or how they overthink simple entertainment

I came here when I first heard of G0's douchebaggery and Meg's move. I don't think I actually remember much of the time I spent at 339, though. It's all a haze.

What kind of a connection do you have? I haven't seen a single forum that would be heavy on my connection.

And that's why I'm glad we don't have a ton of idiots with images in their sigs here.

Or if we do, I didn't notice, since as soon as I see a signature image I adblock that shit.

Man, though, what I really hate is people who put those "what charactar fro mlost are youlululuzlululzu?" quiz result buttons in their sigs.  I've got a preeeetty good adblock filter that avoids me wasting my bandwidth on most tripe of that type, but my impression of someone is RUINED if it turns out they have one.  It's like meeting somebody in real life and finding out that they were actually getting their lines passed by a big-nosed friend or something.

I love the community simply because they aren't as "stuck up" in their choices of entrainment. They can enjoy stuff without over thinking about it.

When I started using the Internet I couldn't find a 28K modem.

That was about 10 years ago.
