PbP with Modules. Which ones?
« on: October 16, 2010, 01:37:22 PM »
So I've seen a couple of spaced out threads with regards to people who want to play basically one-shots, or modules, but not too many ideas are actually listed. One guy did put in his thread what he'd like to play in, and it'll be the Spider Queen one.

Others that have been listed are:
Red Hand of Doom
City of the Spider Queen
Expedition to Undermountain
Expedition to Ravenloft
Shackled City
Whispers of the Vampire's Blade
Savage Tides

Is there any other games or modules people want to see run, and wish to join?

I've wanted to play Attack on Myth Drannor for a while.

It's a full out adventure though.
Fighter: "I can kill a guy in one turn."
Cleric: "I can kill a guy in half a turn."
Wizard: "I can kill a guy before my turn."
Bard: "I can get three idiots to kill guys for me."

On a strange note, would anyone be put out if we had a post about people or events we can spare a thought for, or if its within their creed, a prayer for? Just a random thought, but ... hells I wouldn't have known about either Archangels daughter or Saeomons niece if I didn't happen to be on these threads.
Sounds fine to me.
probably over on "Off-topic".
might want to put a little disclaimer in the first post.

This is the Min/Max board. We should be able to figure out a way to optimize the POWER OF PRAYER(TM) that doesn't involve "Pazuzu, Pazuzu, Pazuzu".
My final project for my film independent study course. It could do with a watching and critiquing

That actually exists? Cool. I just thought it was a rumour that people kept bringing up.

It actually looks really neat. And it doesn't have too many undead in it, so you don't have the problem of 'Clerics do too much', at least compared to what you get in other campaigns, where the final bosses tend to be undead.

I amused myself one evening by designing a character that would be able to command every single undead in the Castle Perilous. There are 2 vampires, an Advanced Brain in the Jar, and a rather advanced Lich, if I remember correctly.

So, that's the end of my griping against Undead enemies. Unless the DM throws on Quells.

I found two. One's AD&D, the other is 3.0 and there's technically a WE for it to elaborate on some of the magic items talked about in the module. Which one were you referring to? The 3.0 version?

Anauroch: The Empire of Shade looks neat, if only because it has Sharns in it. :P Expedition to the Demonweb Pits is another one that might be cool to see. Anauroch also has two other adventures that come before it, IIRC.
Mind you, I don't actually have the time to play in any of those, not that that has stopped me in the past. :P

Undermountain seems ideal, IMO.

I'm developing a bad track record with PbP, though.

Cormyr: Tearing of the Weave looks really neat. Level 4-7 too so it wouldn't be too annoying to DM.

Gotta say that I'm learning of modules I never even knew existed. This is cool.
