First: If you're forced to stay Sorc/Wiz, you will want to look at Ultimate Magus. With Practiced Spellcaster, you get full progression on one side and 7/10 on the other with minimal work.

Second: Conjurer is a good specialization, and is a strong school. Also, very fun to play. Blasts, controls, summons, they're all here. (Heals too, if you do something funky like Rainbow Servant)

Third: I approve of Factotum 8. Greatly. There's a reason why one of the strong starter builds for gestalt is Wizard/Wizard PrCs//Factotum 8/Warblade 12. Lots of HP (d8s and d12s, yo!), good saves (Wbl has good fort and adds int to reflex, wizard has good will), int to everything and bonus action economy in the form of extra spells per round, which is really useful at higher level.

For summoning, Malconvoker is excellent. I'll assume you read Mastering the Malconvoker in the Handbooks section (or will as soon as I mention this).

Alternatively, you can do far worse than the standard cheese of Wizard 5/Incantatrix 10/Archmage 5.

Fourth: I second the comments about Cloudy Conjuration, the reserve feats, Abrupt Jaunt and Monk+One of the two ways to make it Int-based. It's viable to keep your familiar, but get something that can talk for UMD (ab)use.

I'd have recommended Faerie Mysteries Initiate but your GM doesn't let you use Dragon. (But switching from Con to Int for HP per level is fun!)

The main issue with ultimate magus is that double progression prcs are supposed to be banned in gestalt

Alright, first off I'd just like to take a moment to thank everyone profusely for their help. Even if I haven't necessarily followed through with every suggestion and helpful tip provided here, it's still been a tremendous help in giving me more options to look at!

With that said, after discussing it with my DM, I've managed to convince them to allow me to play a Conjurer/Factotum Gestalt. Which in itself is very good news indeed! I've made a preliminary build for the character on her first level, I'd appreciate any advice and other thoughts that might guide me for the future concerning it. At the moment it's mostly solid and I believe highly playable if not necessarily optimal, which is good enough for me. Nevertheless, that does NOT mean I'm not open to change, merely that I'll consider it and weight it carefully versus what I intend for her roleplay and how I currently wish to use her in 'gameplay'. (Although summoning is not the best option around per se before I have fun with the Malconvoker build, it's still decent from what I can tell)

Without further ado, I present to you my character sheet!

Why all the odd ability scores?

4d6 spread and I'm relatively lucky.
