Transcend Mortality looks great, but a little risky (I don't want to die from a lucky dispel magic roll).

Although using trapsmith spells in a drake helm would save me some money, it'd really mess up my current spells known selections. If I could throw more slots than 4 on one, I'd be happy to do it.

One of the FR books has an weapon property that makes you immune to one spell of your choice. Put it on random armor spikes, weapon spikes, penis ring spikes... :lmao

Dispel, Greater Dispel, Slashing Dispel, Spelltheft... did I miss any?

If you want to abuse spell lists with lower level spells couldn't you just use a staff for that?

It's official, I can't even have a thread on THIS forum that doesn't turn into penis jokes. 'Tis a curse that follows me everywhere. I had hoped I had left that behind at the DDO forums.

I'm okay with that though.

But seriously. You will need about 4 different ones to block all the possible Dispels. Armor and shield spikes are two, gauntlets make three. I suppose the fourth could come from something like boot blades, but that was funnier.

Unless you're getting your CL to at least 31, or abusing Extraordinary Spell Aim + AMF you'll need Dispel immunity on a Persist build anyways.

Can you remember which book it's from? That'd help me out a lot.

No, the thread it was in got deleted. All I remember is that it is in one of the FR books.

Since I still have my char op resources I could probably find it in a few hours.

Spellblades = Player's Guide to Faerun

If I had to pick just one Domain, though, I'd go with Destiny (Races of Destiny). A lot of great spells, and a Persistent Choose Destiny is PURE WIN.

1st - Omen of Peril
2nd - Augury
3rd - Delay Death
4th - Bestow Curse
5th - Stalwart Pact
6th - Warp Destiny
7th - Bestow Curse, Greater
8th - Moment of Prescience
9th - Choose Destiny

I was able to squeeze some spellblades in by dropping teleport off my drake helm. Have immunity to MDJ, Greater Dispelling Screen, Chain Dispel and Reaving Dispel. Remembered I don't have to worry about Greater Dispel Magic because it's a level 6 spell and I'm immune via Mystic Shield.

I'm not sure if there really is a way to get immunity to slashing dispel and spelltheft, is there?

Choose Destiny does look pretty insane...I'd like to try to figure out a way to pick it up without dropping GVotD though. I like my nice, round, charisma score. Makes things easy. :) If there were a magic item that granted the feat Endurance I should be able to, but I haven't found anything like that (and I've looked). Then I could adjust my ability scores and skills to fit in Arcane Disciple via Psychic Reformation.

Can anybody think of any more dispelling spells above level 6 that are not:
Mordenkainen's Discjunction
Reaving Dispel
Wall of Dispel Magic, Greater
Chain Dispel
Dispelling Screen, Greater

I have the above spells blocked via Spellblades placed all over my body (armor spikes, shield spikes, main weapon, gauntlet spike, and sleeve blade). I just need to know if there are any more that I need to worry about.

Spellblades only work on targeted spells.
Dispelling screen: "any spell effect operating on a creature that passes through the screen is affected as by a targeted dispel magic."

Wall of Dispel Magic: "anyone passing through it becomes the target of a dispel magic spell"

Chain Dispel: "each creature struck by this spell is affected as if by a targeted dispel magic."

Reaving Dispel: operates the same as dispel magic (with the differences being the reaving part), and makes numerous references to targeted dispels.

I wouldn't be immune to "untargeted" uses of dispel magic that affect an area, but any targeted variants I would be. I think that's a pretty reasonable interpretation.

It does mean that I can't put the effect on weapons to prevent things like AMF, though.

MDJ doesn't use such language, though, and it has an area of effect. I'm not sure I buy it on the others either, but YMMV.
