Actually as a player this could be quite fun. But DM'ing it is gonna be hard
Monks are pretty much the best designed class ever.

That depends; will the group and DM refrain from 10th lvl spells, or is everyone gonna be one of three classes?

Dunno, can artificers mess with epic level spells? Because it'll be five classes then: Wizard, Cleric, Druid, StP Erudite, Artificer.

A gygaxian dungeon is like the world's most messed up game show.

Behind door number one: INSTANT DEATH!
Behind door number 2: A magic crown!
Behind door number 3: 4d6 giant bees, and THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OF HONEY!
They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...
Best metaphor I have seen in a long time.  I give you much fu.
Three Errata for the Mage-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Barbarian-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Monks doomed to die,
One for the Wizard on his dark throne
In the Land of Charop where the Shadows lie.

Played one once, the DM needed a certain freaking magic touch and the players need to agree on
A) Low-Medium optimization(if only to keep the DM from crying as he threads through an insane build) and
B) Fly free with custom stuff after 20th(what with the existing epic stuff blowing)

"Just what do you think the moon up in the sky is? Everyone sees that big, round shiny thing and thinks there must be something round up there, right? That's just silly. The truth is much more awesome than that. You can almost never see the real Moon, and its appearance is death to humans. You can only see the Moon when it's reflected in things. And the things it reflects in, like water or glass, can all be broken, right? Since the moon you see in the sky is just being reflected in the heavens, if you tear open the heavens it's easy to break it~"

I'll play, or even DM if you need one badly.
Fighter: "I can kill a guy in one turn."
Cleric: "I can kill a guy in half a turn."
Wizard: "I can kill a guy before my turn."
Bard: "I can get three idiots to kill guys for me."

On a strange note, would anyone be put out if we had a post about people or events we can spare a thought for, or if its within their creed, a prayer for? Just a random thought, but ... hells I wouldn't have known about either Archangels daughter or Saeomons niece if I didn't happen to be on these threads.
Sounds fine to me.
probably over on "Off-topic".
might want to put a little disclaimer in the first post.

This is the Min/Max board. We should be able to figure out a way to optimize the POWER OF PRAYER(TM) that doesn't involve "Pazuzu, Pazuzu, Pazuzu".
My final project for my film independent study course. It could do with a watching and critiquing

I'm thinking that if we do epic magic, it should be done with this system http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37410

Basically, it swaps epic spells for epic metamagic.

Coincidentally, the character I would like to play is a Wizard 5/Red Wizard of Thay 5/Shadowcaster Mage (Adaptation to non-Gnome) 3/Incantatrix 4/ X 3. Yes, Highly coincidental...

This reminds me of a joke I heard years ago. While not particularly bad it is a "dirty" joke.
Do you know why you never have to worry about epic monks masturbating?
They can't make their own touch AC.
Oh and if this game happens i'll be interested in playing. Maybe I can play my strange as hell concept I called 4D, in included Dragon Disciple and Dwarven Defender. Obviously not a crazy powerful build but it was nifty in Neverwinter Nights.

NVM this forgot that NWN didn't enforce the fact that lvl 10 of Dragon Disciple disqualified you for Dwarven Defender.

Clerics and Druids are like the 4 and 2 in 42. Together they are the answer to the ultimate question in D&D.
Retire the character before the DM smacks you with the Table as the book will feel totally inadequate now.-Hazren

Wasn't any build that revolved around hitting folks with a greatsword effective in NWNII?

And wasn't fireball one of the best spells in NWNII?
Doesn't that say how much they screwed up 3.5?

Epic level play is 60% paperwork and 40% world building. That's without Epic Spells. Without a large amount of houserules/gentlemen's agreements martial characters need to just sit out while the big boys create and end worlds in 6 seconds.

They're talking about the D&D computer game, Neverwinter Nights, based in the Forgotten Realms.

I once ran a game at ECL 17-21. Level 17 for full casters, level 21 for non or low level casters. It worked out pretty well. Most people opted for limited spellcasting ability, and there was a lot of build variety. So, I'd recommend something along those lines.

Interesting a non spell caster at lvl 21 is equal to a  lvl 17 caster. well if someone wants to DM it  when it comes to character creation i have never had character over level 10

If no one's against what would basically be a one-shot campaign, I could run one. Everyone would be limited to 20th level and couldn't use homebrew classes though. It's something I'll be running IRL, and need to iron out the details. Nothing like a PbP playtest to see what needs tweaking.

Sounds fun.

I'll help you with your testing, Kevin. Is it that hunter game?

Yes. Yes it is. I've since advanced a majority of the monsters after finding out what a swift hunter could do if optimized, and given too much freedom (ie trust that the player isn't cheating or can do basic math).
