Unless your DM is as much of a dick as mine was and says your body is split apart into X pieces when your Polymorph (or Wild Shape, as was the case with my Master of Many Forms) wears off.

Eh, have an intermediate stage with regeneration.  It's cool.

Yeah I would have to double check with the gm about the split ability but seems like one of the best deal at the moment.

In retrospect, much like Keanu Reeves.

I am not intimately familiar with Infinite Variety, but here's an (Ex) special attack that is decent with Aberration Wild Shape:

Dual Action (Ex) A Thoon elder brain is a creature made
up of multiple minds, all touched by the unreality of the
Far Realm. Make two initiative checks for the creature.
The higher result represents a mental action turn, and
the lower result is used for a physical action turn. This
means a Thoon elder brain can do more in a single round
than most creatures. For example, it could perform an
overmind blast (a purely mental action) on initiative
count 17, then move and make a tentacle attack (a
physical action) on initiative count 12. These initiative
counts can change if a Thoon elder brain readies an
action or delays to let its other half go first.

MM5, p121

if the dvati are humanoid, not possible for me at least since I'm a humanoid, suppose if you are a outsider or whatever else, you can indeed have it as a favored shape (you can't choose your own type as favored shape) but don't think that there would be two of you...at least I think. I remember reading vaguely about them.

If you don't want the DM to smash his skull into bits, i would get away from split-slimes and giant-eating-for-bonus-HDs abuses, how about a Gloura's Unearthly Grace, or perhaps a Boneclaw's Unholy Toughness? Being a sorcerer has it's advantages...

You know, a Tarrasque's carapace and Regeneration are Ex abilities...
[spoiler]Fighter: "I can kill a guy in one turn."
Cleric: "I can kill a guy in half a turn."
Wizard: "I can kill a guy before my turn."
Bard: "I can get three idiots to kill guys for me."

On a strange note, would anyone be put out if we had a post about people or events we can spare a thought for, or if its within their creed, a prayer for? Just a random thought, but ... hells I wouldn't have known about either Archangels daughter or Saeomons niece if I didn't happen to be on these threads.
Sounds fine to me.
probably over on "Off-topic".
might want to put a little disclaimer in the first post.

This is the Min/Max board. We should be able to figure out a way to optimize the POWER OF PRAYER(TM) that doesn't involve "Pazuzu, Pazuzu, Pazuzu".

Unique being, though, and as such is impossible to shapeshift into.
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

What about turning into a Dvati and choosing the black pudding's split as an ability to add onto it? Would all of your "children" be linked telepathically with you? :D

I think it would still be considered a unique creature as the Simulacrums/Ice Assassins aren't the same as the creature.

Now, in Epic, you could research "Origin of Species: Tarrasque", and then be able to shapeshift into it.

of course, the more I think about it, the less impressive it gets (the general concept, that is).
now, actually playing a dvati .... yeah, that race should never have been made.

Reserves of Strength means you just need a caster level of 48 if it isn't unique.

No DM allows that interpretation from Reserves of Strength, though.

And mixing spellthief, Bloodlines, (...) with Transmogrifist is hard pre-epic
