Looks around at the others, "I REALLY think someone should have come up with a better way to travel.  I really feel for you tall folk.  You gotta be sore and cramped.

Turning to look at the fellow speaking "You got the necessary goods to prove this an official change of task?"

Also Spot to notice more details of our company and our environment.
1d20+13=32

If he does have proof or if we recognize him in a way that we would trust them then:
"So what do we have on this missing person?  Description, personal effects, who the hell took her and why?"

Aullara, who currently is not invisible it seems, asks, "Why should we be waiting until tomorrow to start searching for her, when this seems to be quite urgent? Time is of the essence in a kidnapping. It's almost like you don't want her found."

Once our new orders are confirmed to be correct Glim will sit on a barrel for a minute obviously deep in thought. (Anyone trying to "read" him knows he is pissed about this sudden change and he thinks we aren't prepared for this type of mission)

Addressing the newcomers, Krisrath spoke in a rather formal tone,
"You think I'm talking about breaking the rules?"
"No I'm just trying to figure out how far you want them bent."

He didn't give much and that is the problem. We need conformation that these new orders are legit and all we know is we will be looking for Lady Katarin and a brief description of what she looks like. Oh and the original investigators were murdered so some commander who doesn't really care is the one in charge.

Lloyd rests his hands on his hips, and his face breaks into a massive grin "Looks like you were right Shade: Things HAVE gotten interesting!"
OOC: at least I THINK it was Shade that said that...
there is roughly a 99% chance that this post is an obscure reference to SOMETHING.

"Pfft. Politics. I never did care for the headaches that go hand-in-hand with cour... with political life. So, we are to embed ourselves in the so-called 'official investigation' so we don't have to get our hands dirty trying to get close to this case. I suppose that might make things a bit easier, but mightn't we appear a bit suspicious, as ecclectic a group as we are?"

Krisrath finished with a grin, then turning to one of the helpers,
Feel free to talk/plan as if Krisrath were there, his absents has no bearing on his knowledge of the proceedings.
Suzuki, masked and cloaked as always, finally speaks, with his metallic tone. "I can work alone or in a pair, but I do not enjoy work in groups. My presence tends to be more incentive to stop a dangerous group... but as a Warden, I cannot remove my uniform..." The face looks down, as if saddened by his odd appearance.

Glim will ask to contact the commander who sent us on our original mission. (I can't remember his name right now).
