Q261: Whats the CR of an NPC with an NPC class?  Level -1?  My brain spit that back, but I have no actual justification for it, so maybe I'm crazy.

Edit: That last answer was EXACTLY what I was looking for, good call.
Racial HD + (Associated NPC Class levels) + (1/2 NonAssociated NPC Class levels) -1

What's that from and what is "NonAssociated NPC Class Levels"?

In my humble opinion, CO is haberdashery. Some say we're mad, but we can all agree we're hatters. Yes, we have potential to make very sophisticated hats, very fancy hats, be they dark or light. But the truth is that the color of the hat does not come from the group of us - our community doesn't directly produce hats. We simply give average head circumferences, list current fashion trends, and point out some shiny, obscure baubles to add to the latest hat line.

Nonassociated class levels are like sticking levels of cleric onto something with racial sorcerer casting.

Sorry if I'm being dense, but what would your formula make of:

Human Adept 1

And I assume your nonassociated levels would be something like

Rakshasa Cleric 3 or something

So what CR would that be?

Sorry again, I just usually don't make encounters, or don't use things with class levels.

Human adept would be a CR 1/2, since IIRC CRs don't go down to 0.

Honestly, NPC class levels are just screwed up, CR formula wise.

Q263

If you have a Bloodline feat (I'm looking at the Dragon Compendium version, if there's a difference between their original printings and that), do you automatically know all the spells it grants, or only the ones for which you have slots? I think the first, which allows some early entry shenanigans when paired with Versatile Spellcaster, but I'm not 100% sure.
So you end up stuck in an endless loop, unable to act, forever.

In retrospect, much like Keanu Reeves.

Sobolev here's what TML is referencing:
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/improvingMonsters.htm#addingClassLevels

Example of the screwy-ness: Triceratops +1 racial hd + Adept 16 = CR of 17 (or 18)
is not an Epic monster, but it can have Epic Spells !!
It still might not be smart enough to pick when to use it's Epic Spells.

Q263b
Are there any other feats besides Bloodline feats that grant bonus spells known to a spontaneous caster?

Assuming you're a spirit shaman, use craft wondrous items to make your own knowstones.
A player once asked me if there was any way to make a Tarrasque more evil... 3 sessions later he was stoned with D20s as the PC led an exidus out of the path of a Dire Tarrasque of Legendary Wonder.

Q264: Would a Split Ray, Twin Spell, Ray of Enfeeblement shoot 3 or 4 rays? You could add one per metamagic applied, or you could interpret the Split Ray also working on the Twinned Spell, thus shooting 4.

Q265: Can a Hellbred have the Necropolitan Template applied?

I'm assuming so as they are humanoids. It also might be somewhat against Hellbred flavor but PCs can pretty much ignore alignment suggestions for race if I recall.

A 265

Yes. Also, there are no alignment restrictions on Necropolitan, and it's perfectly in flavor for a Hellbred to become one even if he's Good.

it would be 4. Two spells, each split once.

Edit: Remember they don't stack, so unless you are hitting different targets, best it would do is help guarantee you rolled max for the str penalty.

They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...

Q 266:
RAW, durable doesn't protect you from falling in a pool of acid, or other environmental effects. It may not protect you against weapons or spells either, as those aren't typically listed under the "Special Attacks" entries of creatures.
